Every day was an adventure, tires fresh, fluids so new. First owner was smitten,damn, I was too. I was driven. Driven in the rain, driven in the snow, Boothbay to FLA ,then back to grad school. Driven to work, neglected by some jerk. Driven with love, handled like a pair of new deerskin gloves. I have been driven. I know when to stop, My heart is good, lights still bright, and my doors still kind of tight. Had a few, owners you see,some with good intentions, they felt married to me. I have been driven. These last couple rounds left me battled and bruised, plastic surgery they said, all just a ruse. Driven in the day, Driven thru the night. Driven to a dark garage and held so tight. Unbeknown to me, the welder you see, had no practice before attempting to stitch me. Realized the horror committed on me, an ad was placed and I was set free. With all the zeal, as I still had a certain appeal, my new owner thought, “ with this I can deal". All the scars silently told, all the places I have been traded, bought and sold . I have been driven. It has been several years, he blessed me to tears. His garage protected me from all I feared. Silently rusting, I slept peacefully.
