Vehicle Detail
WELCOMErod@rodsandhobbies.com is auctioning a 1962 Chevrolet Corvair RampsideDescription I want to apologize for the earlier Auction on this 1962 Corvair Rampside ending early.....not sure how it did but it did. I have sent EBAY and E-mail and talked to them for an hour tonight about it ending early. They had no documents of how it ended and tried to say I ended it. I was in Las Vegas at the time delivering my 1972 VW bus I sold here on EBAY at the time this Auction ENDED!!!. So there was no way I ENDED it. At one point one of them said they can see what IP Address was used to end it...but then after switching me to the security department they can only tell my account is secure and has been used the last few days....what the what? ..then after severel on holds, the Ebay representive told me to just to Relist....I point blank asked her if it will RESUME as it was and all MY HTML will be the same...cause I have never had to relist.....and she said yes....when I relisted it started all over...and my HTML was not the same....still talking to her...I told her that it started over and not resumed...she apologized and said it does start over...HUH? Holy Cow...this is one of the oddest situations I have never had to deal with...and exteremely upsetting. They are also not waiving my 60.00 fee for the sell...which I apologize cause I can not end the auction early and not allow it to proceed as it should. Anyways this could not have come at a worse time, but we will push through it and I am sorry. I don't end auctions early....especially ones where I had over 1500 views and 126 watchers on the first two days. I explained to her that this makes me look like a fool...and now my auction ends on a day and time I did not want it to end....I expressed how serious this was to me and would like to speak to a manager or a higher representive so we can get to the bottom of this. Then she hung up on me....when I tried to call back, they were closed...we will try again tomorrow to get to the bottom of this...cause even after RELISTING......the old auction still shows as SOLD and ending early. Doesn't make sense to me....not one bit. I was so enjoying EBAY and the clientele and friends I have been meeting so hopefully this will not happen again...ever. I also asked at one point can I just end this one and try to see if some how we can just RESUME the other one as it was....she said You will be charged another 60.00. Please hold of on bidding on this Auction for at least a day until I can get something solved...cause if I can just resume the earlier auction I would just prefer to do that....ASAP. I will call them first thing in the morning. So let's try this again and I hope I havn't lost any possible buyers....if I have...please send me a message that this deterred you away from the auction or even me as a seller. This had to be the worse feeling to see my auction ended when I got back home. So to continue as we were this is great project for the winter. Comes with all parts minus engine. This 1962 Corvair Rampside was a daily driver over 10 years ago until the motor went out then it sat. This is the original paint but does have some touch-up body work...no major wrecks, but driver's side is rusted see pics...contact me for prices on full restoration or just to fix the rusted areas and make it a daily driver again. No ENGINE included in auction I do have immediate access to a 1964..for parts to aid to keep cost down in restoration or just simple repairs. The 1964 not included in this auction was rolled and it does have a clean clear title too. Call/contact for cost because it is not included in this auction. The 1964 Corvair Rampside does have a running motor and various other extra parts like a good drivers side panel to repair the rust areas, etc. And again sorry for repeating myself but this auction is for the 1962 Corvair Rampside as seen in pics and not the 1964 Corvair Rampside. Contact me for price for whole thing...or just the motor...pics...etc. Corvair engines of all types available too so please contact on cost of how you would want to build this one up. I will update the listing daily with additional pics and parts it comes with, like door handles, glove box, etc. Everything is there...minus a few things like window scrapers, felts, seatbelts, etc. Refer to pics on what is include if the part isn't seen in the pictures by the end of the Auction it's not include with the vehicle. This includes all pictures of my 1962 Corvair Rampside on ebay or in my Photobucket album. The front seat is in very rough shape and will need reupholstered. The front windshild is free of any cracks or major chips...does have a few very minor ones...some windshield wiper marks that can easily be buffed out and 2 1" scratches that are on the passenger side..very minor..may buff out to be less visible...not noticable unless making it a showroom vehicle. back glass does have a 6" scratch in center that can not be buffed out...but being a flat glass easy to have made or find...thx for looking. The ramp, tailgate, floorboards are solid...the drivers side is the worst side but an easy fix...looks worse cause the way they cut it ..etc. Any questions regarding this listing or the parts vehicle feel free to contact me at 435.256.0507 or rod@rodsandhobbies.com. The front tires do not hold air very long but will air up to move, can get some used or new ones at an additional cost. The doors are solid very solid inside and out There are more pictures in my photobucket album, you can click on any image and it will take you to my album, so please review all the pictures before bidding and bid with confidence. And also review the entire listing to get the full details on this Corvair Rampside I will not end early for any reason....this is a no reserve auction and at the end of it the HIGHEST BIDDER WINS! No need to wait...I have cancelled the earlier Auction that was listed. This 1962 Chevrolet Corvair Rampside is now being auctioned in this new listing and THE HIGHEST BID at the end of the AUCTION ON (Nov 06, 201121:04:11 PST) WINS!!! Good LUCK and HAPPY BIDDING!!! On Nov-03-11 at 21:08:30 PDT, seller added the following information: Daily Update 11/3/11 Vehicles that can be used to replace rusted areas - NOT INCLUDED IN AUCTION!!!! Initial was going to use the 64 Rampside to do the rust repairs...it's not as in good shape as I hoped so I am going to use the Greenbrier panels instead. You will see from pics why I am still trying to get the 64 over to my shop so can do a running engine video...95% positive it is a 110HP FC Engine. Hopefully can do before the end of auction. As you can see from pics the Rampside is usable but not as good as the Greenbrier!!! More pics in my photobucket album of both vehicles...just click on any pic to go there.
