Vehicle Detail
I bought this Goldwing a couple of years ago after reading a great book called The Longest Ride, about a guy who rode one around the world. I t was in very good mechanical condition when I found it, but it was an ugly brown & clunky looking despite being the non-bagger model. Being a fabricator, I couldn't leave it alone so I cleaned up the rear with a smaller taillight & turn signals, then made a cute little polished aluminum front fender to replace the huge original one. Then came the paint job to set it off. The whole restoration took little time & money since I had only a couple of minor mechanical issues to deal with & did all the work myself. It was fun & easy so I'm letting it go with a low reserve. It is a really smooth running & comfortable machine reliable enough to take anywhere, amazing for a vintage bike. If you are looking for an inexpensive classic you can ride proudly to work every day, I can't think of a better bike for the money. There are no known issues & everything works. It's a little cold natured, which I understand is typical. Tires are excellent (rear less than 200 miles). Clear title, but Texas license plate is expired. You are welcome to come look at it before bidding. Sold without warranty. I've made another front fender for the Gold Wing & I've added a couple of photos to show it off. Everybody seems to like the unique shorty fender I had on it, but I recently finished a Norton cafe racer that I made polished aluminum fenders, fuel tank, etc., for & loved the front fender so much I just had to make one for the Honda. This one is much longer (about 26") & is in the classic style with a "Y" shaped mount. Plus it's more practical if you get caught in the rain. This is strictly a bonus. Both fenders will go to the winning bidder. I think this new fender makes the bike really pop! This is a re-listing & I've eliminated the reserve.
