Vehicle Detail

Up for bid is my last restoration project. I am now totaly disabled and can no longer do restoration work. About 90% of the cosmetic restoration work on this car is done. Included also are all the materials to finish it. The car is a black plate San Diego California car and it has spent it's whole life there and had no rust. The fella I bought it from about 6 years ago was a mechanic and said he attended to mechanical items. His idea of body work was to grind the paint off around each nick and scratch and smear bondo over it. Several photos of the original car are included. A photo of thr Queen Mum's Mark 7 is included and the finished car will look like this. The car was totaly rust free and any rust that shows is strictly surface rust. Approximately 90-95% of the original undercoating is still on the car. I removed all paint to bare metal and tapped the minor dings out and jambed the car with the color Imperial Maroon (as on the Queen Mum's Jaguar). It could still be rejambed to any color you wish. The car has 4 coats of primer surfacer and each one blocked out with 320 paper. It should be blocked one more time with 400 and then it's ready for paint. The car would then be ready for reassembly and finished. Included are: 1. All chrome replated 2. Complete leather upholstery kit with foam (needs to be installed on seats). 3. All woodwork reveneered with 5a grade walnut burl veneer and refinished (this is the same grade that I used on Rolls Royces And Bentleys) 4. All rubber pieces moulded and extruded 5. Reporceleanized exhaust manifold (this is seldon done). 6. Brand new Denman wide whitewall tires in the proper size 7. All glass. 8. Many other parts too numerous to list. Buy this car and you'll have daily driver that you can be proud of and would win most local shows. The car is NOT concours. My reserve is about half the price that it would take to do this car if you started from scratch. As it is about 90-95% of the hard and expensive work is done. The emergency brake is stuck and would have to be attended to. The car starts and goes just fine but should have a tuneup after sitting for the last 6 years and who knows how long before that. I start all my cars every several months. Any questions please e-mail me andI'll do my best to answer them. Buyer will be responsible for shipping and any tax or import fees. Winning bidder will make a non refundable deposit of $250 dollars US within 48 hours of the end of the auction. Balance of the bid price must be paid by wire transfer or cash within 10 days of the end of the auction. Car will not leave my possesion til all funds have been paid and cleared. I will try to help shipper as far as I'm able. Best would be if car can be picked up. THANKS for looking and good luck bidding.
