Vehicle Detail
1968 CAMARO.....SUPER SPORT....RALLEY SPOR 427 V8 ENGINE+++4 SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION NICE PAINT+++GOOD INTERIO ROCK SOLID CAR with no rust problems I think everything on this car works!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MILEAGE: 77006 reading and we think its correct. TITLE: Clear Tennesse title in hand. VIN: 124378n455375 HISTORY: I'm selling the car for my friend Danny Pryor. Here is what I was told and I can prove most of it with documents. The car was sold new in Lexington, KY, it came from the factory Super Sport, Ralley Sport, white paint, black interior, 4 speed Munci transmission, 396 big block engine. in may of 1974 Joe Conrad Chevrolet put a 427 crate short block in the car (the engine umbers indicate this) and we have a copy of the check to the Chevrolet dealer that did it. The car has been repainted one time. IS THERE ANY RUST PROBLEMS? None that I can find, no rust bubbles and no cracks, all the panels look to be original, the floors and underside are great, I can only find some bubble under the very back of the vinyl top at the corners of the window, they were bad about this, the top is perfect, I would lift it up on the corners and fix it. IS THERE ANY ACCIDENT DAMAGE? None that I can find. WHY AM I SELLING THIS TRUCK? I’m a retired mechanic/auto-mechnic instructor/retired Army helicopter mechanic and instructor. I'm helping my friend Danny sell this car. When I find a truck or car I like for a good price I buy it fix things and resell for a fair profit. IS THIS A REAL RS SS CAR? I think so, but run the numbers, I put a picture of the body tag and VIN tag on the listing. PAINT: The car is straight to look down the sides, it has no dents, no cracks and no bubbles in the paint. It has a couple of very minor chips. CHROME: It all looks nice other than some pitts in the hood inserts. INTEROR: Good interior, the seats are good, the carpet good, the headliner good, the dash is nice, the door panels good, the steering wheel has no cracks. The consol looks nice, but has some minor scuffs. UNSERSIDE: Nice, clean and neat, but not for show, but its rock solid with no rust problems. GLASS: The glass all looks very nice, no cracks or no wiper marks, the window roll up and down good. VINYL TOP: It looks new with no cracks and no dry places. It has one ding about the size of a golf ball that ding master can get out easy. At the lower back at the corner of the window the vinyl has some rust bubble, they are real bad to rust her, I would roll the top up a little, fix the bubbles and re-glue. ENGINE: THIS CAR IS FAST!!!! The engine is a 427 cubic inch that runs strong. It has no knocks, no rattles, no blue smoke. The car came with a 396 and the 427 was put in by a Chevrolet dealer in 1974. You will be very happy with the engine. EXHAUST SYSTEM: Good condition, but not new, it is dual exhaust. TRANSMISSION: The Munci 4 speed manual transmission has no whines or growls, it shifts perfect with a Hurst shifter (the rubber boot is the wrong one), Danny just had a new clutch and pressure plate put in. REAR-END: No whines or growls, its a 12 bolt positive traction with 4:10 gears, the original gears come with the car, but you will not want to change them when you drive the car, I think Danny said they were 3;36 gears. BRAKES: Good, the brakes are factory drums and have a power booster. STEERING: The cars drives very good, its a Muscle Car with no power steering. WHEELS AND TIRES: Good radial tires are BF Goodrich and have good tread, the wheels are 15 inch off a newer model Z28. LIGHTS: They work, turn signals work, headlights work, tail lights work, the marker lights work. GUAGES: They all work! They are in the consol. SPEEDOMETER WORKS ! WIPERS WORK! GAS GAUGE is working! parking brake works! Horn works! Tachometer works! Clock moves, but doe not work right! HOW DO THE DOORS AND HOOD OPEN AND CLOSE? I think the doors fit and open very good. TRADES: Please no trades, they never work out and are just to hard! The rest of the information is boring unless you are really interested in buying the car, its just buying details like shipping, paperwork, who I am, where the car is located and how to pay and contact information. CONTACT INFO: my cell is 423-506-8987, I do not answer when driving, while meeting with people, after about 8:00 PM Eastern Time or on Sunday morning or Sunday nights. Please leave a voice mail and I’ll get back. I do check my emails several times a day. cell 423-506-8987 email: dreamcar@live.com PAPERWORK: I know what to do! WE DO NOT HAVE A SHOW ROOM WITH OVERHEAD! We are just a father/son 2 man operation, but we are a Tennessee licensed/bonded car dealer and have sold cars all over the US and exported many. THIS IS NOT AN AUCTION, THIS IS A FIXED PRICE LISTING: I reserve the right to stop the listing at any time and sale the vehicle “come look”. I RESERVE TH RIGHT TO STOP THE LISTING AT ANY TIME. THE CAR IS FOR SALE ON THE LOCAL MARKET. WHERE THE CAR IS LOCATED: The car is here at my garage in Athens, Tennessee. Athens is in east Tennessee, we are 50 miles south of Knoxville. Look at a Road Atlas and follow interstate 75 south from Knoxville. I live one mile and one turn from the interstate exit. My zip code is 37303. The closest large airport is Knoxville. Athens does have a good small airport, but has no commercial flights. WHO YOU ARE BUYING FROM: My name is Ron Watson and I live in the small town of Athens, Tennessee “Athens is called the friendly city”. We are located in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains in east Tennessee. I am 65 years old and work with my son Keith who is now 39. I am now retired and living my dream restoring, selling and improving classic cars. For 12 years I was an auto mechanics instructor at Tennessee Technology Center here in Athens. I am also a veteran of the US Army; I served as a Chinook helicopter mechanic, crew chief and instructor in the late 60s, I did spend a year in Vietnam. I’m Southern Baptist faith and proud to be an American. I’ve been married to the same good woman for almost 42 years. LIFE IS GOOD IN THE GREEN HILLS OF EAST TENNESSEE! TRANSPORT: EBAY MOTORS gives 3 instant transport quotes if you click on the link on my listing. US OR EXPORT “the best”: Classic Car Transport, LLC located in the Kansas City area: This is a very good company that will handle any type of transport in the US or overseas with the white glove treatment. Call Bill Cunninghan at 913-749-0930 "You can google Classic Car Transport and read about them". Email billc@classiccartransport.com MY AREA CODE FOR TRANSPORT: The area code for Athens, Tennessee is 37303. I live 1 mile off a major interstate (I-75) and 35 miles south of interstate 40, so transport is usually very fast. PAYMENT: I require a $250 deposit for a Buy Now or to hold the car. I will take this by PayPal, but not full payment. Option 1: Pay the old school way face to face. Option 2: Pay by check, I will wait till the check clears, I have had a fake bank certified check. Option 3: The safest is to let our banks handle it, my bank is a member of the US Federal Reserve, this is called wire transfer. INSPECTIONS: Please come look and be happy. All inspections are required to be done before the end of the listing. I listed this car as I see it as a 64 year old car restorer, please come and judge it for your self. I judge the car to my standards, this may not be yours. Paid inspectors are unpredictable, you might get a good one, but most of them do not impress me at all, most really don’t know what to look at, they make a good car sound bad on the report. They have to be very critical to cover their back sides and all their concerned about is getting paid. I understand how hard it is to buy a car without looking, but I think you should come look yourself. I don’t like paid inspectors, I like for the person that is buying to inspect for themselves. I think its fine to send a friend to inspect for you. To make it clear, don’t hit the buy now button and then inspect, come inspect first! TRADES: Please no trades! BOTTOM LINE: My price firm price is $27,800 and I'm asking $29,800 on the local market. The game is not rocket science, ask a price and come down. It’s not fun to bargain over the cell phone all day long with people that live 2000 miles away and are not going to buy anyway. My firm price is the Buy Now price. I have sold every car I have ever tried to, so I’m not motivated to be bargained down. PLEASE!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!! PLEASE!!!!! Come look at this vehicle. Please don’t hit the Buy Now button unless your ready to really buy it! Do your research, call me with questions, read my feed backs, I am ebay verified; this means they say I’m a real person in a real place. I WILL BE VERY HAPPY TO SELL YOU THE VEHICLE WITH-OUT AN INSPECTION; YOU JUST HAVE TO HAVE A LOT OF NERVE AND PLEASE DON’T BE A CRY BABY. Read the ME section on the upper right hand part of the listing marked seller info. Thank You, Ron Watson cell: 423-506-8987 email: dreamcar@live.com IS THERE A WARRANTY? No!
