Vehicle Detail
1955 CHEVROLET BEL AIR...2 DOOR HARD TOP 265 V8 ENGINE+++4 SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION GORGEOUS PAINT+++NICE OLD SCHOOL INTERIOR TITLE: Clear South TENNESSEE title in hand. HISTORY: I'm helping my friend Danny Pryor sell this nice car. IS THERE ANY RUST PROBLEMS? No rust bubbles and no cracks, the floors are great, the car is about as good as you get, I found one place at the very back with a small area of raggady edges on sheet metal (rust), the picture of the rear underside shows it, its not bad and we will fix it if you wish, I just didn't what to cover up this small place that is causing no problem. IS THERE ANY ACCIDENT DAMAGE? None that I can find. WHY AM I SELLING THIS TRUCK? I’m helping my friend Danny sell this car. I'm a classic car resorer, but when I find a car I like, can sell for a fair market price and make a few bucks, I buy it fix a few things and resell. PAINT: The paint is nice, its not a perfect factory color, its has more metallic in it and its a teal, greenish/blue color, not a turqouise, but close. ! It has no rusty places, no dents, no rust bubbles, it straight to look down the sides, it has a very good shine. Under a critical eye inspection you might find a small flaw, but you will have to look for it and a couple of touched up chips. CHROME: . All the chrome is nice, bumper look new as well as nice stainless, the only picky thing I can find is a few pitts in the grill surround. INTEROR: No wear and it is super clean, no smoke smell, its not new, but very nice and old school. UNSERSIDE: Nice, clean and neat, but not for show, its built to drive and has no rust problems. GLASS: All the glass is clear, the side windows roll up and down good. ENGINE: The engine is a strong running 265 cubic inch, that has no blue smoke and no unwanted noises. EXHAUST SYSTEM: Good condition, it is dual exhaust. TRANSMISSION: Nice shifting 4 speed. REAR-END: No whines or growls. BRAKES: Good, they are drums, but stop good. STEERING: The car drives straight and good. WHEELS AND TIRES: Good radial tires mounted on 14 inch American Racing wheels. LIGHTS: They work, turn signals work, headlights work, tail lights work. GUAGES: They work! SPEEDOMETER WORKS! WIPERS WORK! GAS GAUGE WORKS! HORN WORKS! HOW DO THE DOORS AND HOOD OPEN AND CLOSE? I think they open and close good, the door rubber i cracked a little! HOW IS THE PANEL FIT? I thin everything is good, the margains are good. TRADES: Please no trades, they never work out and are just to hard! The rest of the information is boring unless you are really interested in buying the car, its just buying details like shipping, paperwork, who I am, where the car is located and how to pay and contact information. CONTACT INFO: my cell is 423-506-8987, I do not answer when driving, while meeting with people, after about 8:00 PM Eastern Time or on Sunday morning or Sunday nights. Please leave a voice mail and I’ll get back. I do check my emails several times a day. cell 423-506-8987 email: dreamcar@live.com THE GAME: I don’t play the game like most sellers! I tell you who I am, how to contact me, where the vehicle is located, lots of details and welcome you to come and look at the vehicle. I don’t put my vehicles up for auction because it a big joke, most sellers just have their buddy’s bid the auction up to what they want. Read the who your buying from section, I’m 65 years old, I have been a auto mechanics instructor, was an instructor in the US Army aviation school for Chinook helicopters and sold a good business to retire and play with classic cars. PAPERWORK: I know what to do! We are just a father/son 2 man operation, but we are a Tennessee licensed/bonded car dealer and have sold cars all over the US and exported many. THIS IS NOT AN AUCTION, THIS IS A FIXED PRICE LISTING: I reserve the right to stop the listing at any time and sale the car “come look”. I RESERVE TH RIGHT TO STOP THE LISTING AT ANY TIME. THE CAR IS FOR SALE ON THE LOCAL MARKET. WHERE THE CAR IS LOCATED: The car is here at my home in Athens, Tennessee. Athens is in east Tennessee, we are 50 miles south of Knoxville. Look at a Road Atlas and follow interstate 75 south from Knoxville. I live one mile and one turn from the interstate exit. My zip code is 37303. The closest large airport is Knoxville. Athens does have a good small airport, but has no commercial flights. WHO YOU ARE BUYING FROM: My name is Ron Watson and I live in the small town of Athens, Tennessee “Athens is called the friendly city”. We are located in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains in east Tennessee. I am 65 years old and work with my son Keith who is now 39. I am now retired and living my dream restoring, selling and improving classic cars. For 12 years I was an auto mechanics instructor at Tennessee Technology Center here in Athens. I am also a veteran of the US Army; I served as a Chinook helicopter mechanic, crew chief and instructor in the late 60s, I did spend a year in Vietnam. I’m Southern Baptist faith and proud to be an American. I’ve been married to the same good woman for almost 42 years. LIFE IS GOOD IN THE GREEN HILLS OF EAST TENNESSEE! TRANSPORT: EBAY MOTORS gives 3 instant transport quotes if you click on the link on my listing. US OR EXPORT “the best”: Classic Car Transport, LLC: This is a very good company that will handle any type of transport in the US or overseas with the white glove treatment. Call Bill Cunninghan at 913-749-0930 Email billc@classiccartransport.com MY AREA CODE FOR TRANSPORT: The area code for Athens, Tennessee is 37303. I live 1 mile off a major interstate (I-75) and 35 miles south of interstate 40, so transport is usually very fast. PAYMENT: I require a $250 deposit for a Buy Now or to hold the car. I will take this by PayPal, but not full payment. Option 1: Pay the old school way face to face. Option 2: Pay by check, I will wait till the check clears, I have had a fake bank certified check. Option 3: The safest is to let our banks handle it, my bank is a member of the US Federal Reserve, this is called wire transfer. INSPECTIONS: Please come look and be happy. All inspections are required to be done before the end of the listing. I listed this car as I see it as a 64 year old car restorer, please come and judge it for your self. I judge the car to my standards, this may not be yours. Paid inspectors are unpredictable, you might get a good one, but most of them do not impress me at all, most really don’t know what to look at, they make a good car sound bad on the report. They have to be very critical to cover their back sides and all their concerned about is getting paid. I understand how hard it is to buy a car without looking, but I think you should come look yourself. I don’t like paid inspectors, I like for the person that is buying to inspect for themselves. I think its fine to send a friend to inspect for you. To make it clear, don’t hit the buy now button and then inspect, come inspect first! TRADES: Please no trades! BOTTOM LINE: My firm price is $23,800 and I'm asking $26,800 on the local market. The game is not rocket science, ask a price and come down. It’s not fun to bargain over the cell phone all day long with people that live 2000 miles away and are not going to buy anyway. My firm price is the Buy Now price. I have sold every car I have ever tried to, so I’m not motivated to be bargained down. PLEASE!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!! PLEASE!!!!! Come look at this vehicle. Please don’t hit the Buy Now button unless your ready to really buy it! Do your research, call me with questions, read my feed backs, I am ebay verified; this means they say I’m a real person in a real place. I WILL BE VERY HAPPY TO SELL YOU THE VEHICLE WITH-OUT AN INSPECTION; YOU JUST HAVE TO HAVE A LOT OF NERVE AND PLEASE DON’T BE A CRY BABY. Read the ME section on the upper right hand part of the listing marked seller info. Thank You, Ron Watson cell: 423-506-8987 email: dreamcar@live.com IS THERE A WARRANTY? No!
