I have for sale my beautiful 1974 IH Scout II. It is in very good condition and runs great! I am selling only because I need the money and will be looking to buy another Scout for a project with some of the funds. This Scout is a definate attention getter and head turner.Every light (interior&exterior),switch and gauge (except fuel) work on this rig.The doors,windows, hood and tailgate open and close perfectly.I bought this Scout two years ago outta North Carolina (see original photo) and have worked on it and keep it in a garage since.This truck drives extremely well (better than when it was stock) and is fully highway capable.The mileage will be greater because I drive it pretty regularly. It has a stock 304 two Barrel and the stock 727 tranny.I swapped out the stock single speed transfer case for a Dana 20 from a 1977. The 4WD(including indicator light) works great and it has factory automatic hubs!.Below is a list of upgrades and items that need to be addressed.Please feel free to ask any questions about vehicle. Upgrades and features:SOA lift with new Hell's Creek 2 1/2 " lift leaf springs ( much better than the "lift kit" springs.) New heavy duty U-bolts,plates and spring perches.Total lift of 9-10 inches over stock. Front and rear diffs rotated to compensate for lift.35 x 12.50 x 15 Remington Mud Brute tires mounted on a set of American Racing Outlaw II wheels (around 5000 miles on them).Soft Top by Best Top, one year old and always garaged. I have the hard top if you want it also in good condition.DieHard Gold battery less than a year old.Stereo/CD/IPOD player by SONY XPLOD with 200 watts and remote w/ four 6x9s and two 10" MTX subs (sounds great)Scout II sport steering wheel.Center consoleLowback bucket seats from a 1972 Scout II in excellant condition."Pillow Top" rear seat from a 1979 Scout II in good condition.Dash Pad from a 1972 Scout II in excellant condition.Roll Bar and harnesses from a 1979 Scout II in good condition.Diamond Plate bed rail caps ( worked great to mount soft top snaps to instead of drilling body.)Flexy fender flares.Herculined floors and lower body panels.Rancho 5000 shocksRough Country steering stabilizer.Heavt duty Z drag link.Extended stainless brake lines.2000 Watt Coleman power inverter ( stopped working recently, trying to resolve).Two year old paint that looks good.This Scout II is solid as a rock and does not rattle at all.Original owners manual and line setting ticket.Light blue Scout is before I started work on it.Im sure I missed some items. Items that need attention:Fuel gauge stopped working ( I have new sending unit included).Has some minor exhaust leaks but duals sound good!Minor rust around right rear fender well (see photos).Left front cab mount has some moderate rust damage and may need attention soon. Not a problem right now.Very minor oil leaks.( Its 37 years old!)A/C works but needs more than a recharge. (Its an add on unit).Door locks work, but the drivers side lift knob is loose.Door Jambs and door interiors need painted black.Valve stem seals (will smoke a little on hot starts but clears right up).Im sure I missed some here too and will add when I think of them!
