Vehicle Detail
I have been looking at these diesel trucks for 20 years, and have NEVER found one nicer. That's about the best I can say about this truck. Purchased directly from the owner, who bought it new, a retiree who used it to pull a 5th wheel camper which he sold. He bought it new in 1998. It is a one owner. It only has 68,108 Original and verified Miles. He kept a log book of fuel fill ups and oil changes as well as any and all repairs. You have never seen a detailed history on a vehicle as this one has. He was so particular about the truck that he even took OUT the bedliner annually just to wash out the dust. See the pictures. The bed is in like new condition. It's incredible. The seats have been covered since new with these blankets. He purchased fabric protection coverage as well as undercoating coverage when he bought it. It is the Laramie SLT package. It's loaded. Reese 5th Wheel Attachment is included in the sale- no charge. New Tires. Very pricey too. Always serviced with synthetic oil. Always. No issues with truck. Everything works and drives like new. 24 Valve Cummins Turbo Diesel Body is in incredible shape for 1998. It's not even waxed for the pictures. It just looks like a new truck. No road rash. Unreal. You have never seen a truck this nice that is not restored. At least I haven't! Keyless remotes, security system included as well. Trailer brake. Extended camper mirrors (extendable). The original heated mirrors ARE included, as well as the mudflaps for the front which he had taken off when the running boards were installed. He averaged 23+mpg on road trips on the highway. Once again, the truck runs and drives as tight as a new one with NO issues whatsoever to mention. Not even one. It literally starts, runs, drives, steers, stops, and shifts like a truck that is off the showroom floor. I am extremely picky and conscientious about how I describe cars, so you can be assured this is as good as I say it is. OK- Here are the negatives - Interior does have a few stains on the carpet from use. Consistent with a 68,108 mile retiree truck. The outside has a few dings on it, not many. Maybe a few on top. Maybe a few door dings. I did touch up a few spots of rust- One surface spot on hood where it looks like a rock hit it, athe corner of the rear passener door at the bottom outside and inside (worst spot on truck), and a little but on the driver side rear fender area. Back about 8 years ago or so when it was parked in front of his house a vehicle scraped that side of the box (driver) and the boxside was replaced. The passenger side has no rust on it at all on the box, but the one that was replaced does have some surface rust on the fender well itself (looks worse in pics than it actually is- it's just surface and not bad at all). See pic. The door corners are a little surface rusty but touched up also. At the bottom of the windshield there is a star that got fixed- you can't even see it when driving but it is there. Overall as you can see the truck is exceptional but these are the flaws you can expect. TERMS AND CONDITIONS I consider myself a nice, respectful, and friendly person, and I like dealing with people who are also nice, honest, and respectful. For the sake of making it very easy for everyone to understand, I have these TERMS AND CONDITIONS: 1. This is an auction. This is sold "As Is". No Warranty. No exceptions. You understand that there is no recourse for future repairs, or any consideration to be made for current problems/issues with car disclosed or not. By bidding on this auction, you agree to these terms with no questions asked, no exceptions, no matter the case. 2. Statements and description of the vehicle are made by the opinion of the seller. Your bid on this auction reflects your opinion of the vehicle, not mine. It is a given that every vehicle I sell will have some rust (either surface rust or otherwise on frame, body, or somewhere because even West Coast cars have rust too), scratches, dents, dings, smells, stains, etc that you get with any used car. It is a used car, so expect wear and tear on the car in all of these areas. Read the description and look at the pics, but remember, they don't capture every detail. 3. You understand that at time of pickup, there will not be a "test drive" period before payment or final payment. You may verify the vehicle and the VIN and the title to ensure it is the vehicle you purchased. Any "inspections" must take place before you win the vehicle, not after. 4. All are welcome to test drive, inspect, and look at the vehicle, and ask questions via email or phone call before you bid on the vehicle. 5. The sellers responsibility begins and ends with providing the vehicle shown and displayed in the auction with a legal and clear title for the vehicle. 6. The description is simply based on the opinion of the seller, and once again, all bids must be placed based on the bidders opinion of the vehicle. 7. The definition of "hold harmless" is in effect on all of my auctions. By bidding you forfeit any rights to legal action or threats of any sort. I will not deal and I refuse to deal with people who sue (I never have sued, or ever threatened to sue and have never been sued). Again, by bidding and/or winning this auction you understand that there is NO legal recourse available to you for any reason on this auction, other than the promise that I make in providing the make and model car with VIN (and clear and legal title) advertised in this auction. 8. Shipping is the buyers responsibility. Vehicle to be picked up within 2 weeks, but exceptions can be made. Just call me to let me know what is going on. We will do our best to work with your shipper. I also may be able to pick you up at the airport. Sioux City is very easy and Omaha is a more difficult. Either way, this is a case by case basis. Please call. 9. $500 Non-Refundable Deposit Due within 24 hours via Paypal or cash in person. Full amount of vehicle due within 7 days of auction end, or at vehicle pickup, whichever comes first. I will accept a cashiers check, money order, or cash in person for the balance. No exceptions unless approved before you bid. Please call. 10. $119 Doc/Delivery/Prep fee on Every Sale. On most vehicles, we spend an average of 4-8 hours on it either cleaning/detailing, and or appraising the car for the description. In addition, after the sale but before you get it, we spend a lot of time working with your shipper to ensure a smooth delivery. You are responsible for the tax title license and any fees your state requires. 11. I reserve the right to end the auction at any time, to sell to anyone, for any reason. If you want to talk to me, please call me. 20+ Years Experience Buying/Selling/Appraising Vehicles. I love this business and have always understood what makes a good car from a bad one, and literally look at between 1500-2000 cars per week in trying to find one's that are great buys, and still have good qualities. Most of them I buy based on the owner, not the car. If the owner is careless or if they are not nice to deal with, I almost always pass. If they are friendly and seemed to have cared for the car, I'll buy it. By buying cars based on people- and not just the vehicle itself, I have honestly had tremendous success by avoiding major repairs, surprises, etc. Also- regardless of flaws, if a car has a good engine and transmission, they are usually good buys also. I tend to find cars that are excellent at the core, as I am not the type of dealer who buys them half running and poorly mechanical, patching it up to sell. I am the opposite, and you will not get that here. I'm like you, if I don't think it's a good runner, I pass!! You can count on my expertise in your vehicle!! Usually they are cars that I would personally like to own and would be happy to own. We take it very personal to do a great job in describing the item, the good, bad and ugly, and to treat you like we would want to be treated. We do promise to provide our best service and to do the best I can in providing the car you expect. I have sold many VW, Nissan, Suburban, Silverado, International, Jetta, Passat, Rabbit, Luv, Escort, and Golf and even Toyota diesels, and I can tell you that I know how to find a great car for the money. 12 Years on eBay! 100% Positive Feedback!
