Vehicle Detail

2000 Honda Accord LX The GoodTitle: CleanEngine: 4-Cyl, 2.3L, VtecTrans: AutomaticSteering: Power steering, tilt-wheelUpholstery: CleanComfort: AC & heater, power windows, power door locksMisc: AM/FM stereo, child-safety locksHistory: No past rentals, no flood damage, no smoke/foul odors, only 2 adult owners. The BadScratches: Back bumper has tiny scratches from other people's bad parallel parking. Chips: Hood and front bumper have tiny paint chips from normal wear & tear while driving. Back bumper has tiny paint chips. Dings: Front passenger door has a small ding to the right of the handle. Rear passenger door has a small ding. Dents: Front bumper sustained substantial dent from a curb while parking the car. Also, driver-side fender sustained small dent above tire while a tower pulled the car up his tow truck. Over time, rust formed over the dent.Interior: Front driver-side door has torn window rubber. Rear driver-side door has scratched leather handle.Panel: The passenger SRS-airbag light is constantly "on" due to a faulty sensor. The parking brake light stays "on" sometimes due to a faulty sensor. The UglyI recently took the car in, for a NJ inspection. It passed everything except the emissions test. Four diagnostic codes appeared: P0420, P0700, P1259, and P1739. The Check-Engine light is constantly "ON", so my mechanic recommends replacing the catalytic converter. With that said, however, the car still drives fine without any issues at the moment. The dings, scratches, chips, and dents (with the exception of the large dent on the bumper) can be easily repaired with a touch-up and refinishing. I haven't had any mechanical problems with the car in the past 6 months. The car's last major repair was in March 2011. I replaced the front axle since the old one had some corrosion due to snow salt. The car is repairable, rebuildble, and salvageable. The car has only had two owners. I purchased the car from my father-in-law who purchased the car, brand new, from David Michael Honda in Freehold, NJ. I am selling this car "AS IS" with no warranties (expressed or implied). Paypal and cash only. (No bills larger than $100.) On Oct-26-11 at 22:34:31 PDT, seller added the following information: UPDATE: The Vehicle History Report indicates the Accord was involved in an accident on Feb. 27, 2003 in East Brunswick, NJ. I spoke with the previous owner and here’s what basically happened: The previous owner was following another car through a left turn at an intersection. However, the car in front immediately stopped before the intersection, and the previous owner rear-ended the car in front. Fortunately, the damage was not severe. The Accord did not sustain any mechanical damage or internal-frame damage. However, the hood could not properly close after the accident, so the previous owner took it to Midas and had it replaced. In addition, the Accord was recalled at approximately 100,000 miles due to transmission problems. The previous owner took the car to Open Road Honda and Honda replaced the transmission, so the current transmission has approximately 147,000 miles on it rather than 247,000.On Oct-29-11 at 13:05:01 PDT, seller added the following information: IMPORTANT UPDATE!!!Emissions Inspection PASSED!As of 10/28/2011, the Accord has passed the NJ emissions inspection. During this week, I had the catalytic converter replaced and the V-tec solenoid repaired by a private inspection facility. The cost of repairs was $505.94. (I still have the receipt). After the repairs, I went back to the NJ State Inspection station and the Accord passed all the tests. Please disregard the above-mentioned section labeled "The Ugly". All of the "ugly" problems have now been corrected. Please message me if you would like a copy of the receipt and inspection sticker.
