Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is a Purple 1996 Firebird Trans Am. This Purple Firebird is equipped with an AUTOMATIC trans, leather interior, most power options ( power mirrors, windows, locks, cruise, tilt, CD, keyless entry (but remote needs battery?), chrome rims, tinted windows, headers, off-road Y-pipe, and an aftermarket cat-back exhaust. The car has rebuilt title and is in fine driveable condition. Everything works on this car (to my knowledge) except the fuel gauge, and passenger side mirror. There are some blemishes on this car which is to be expected for it's age, price, and mileage. Some of the wear and tear is as listed. - Missing antenna, some minor door dings on quarter panels, clear coat beginning to come off hood, tail lights are de-laminating (common), may be leaking some oil?, driver side seat is in so-so condition (common on this vehicle) dash has two small cracks, carpet has small hole where your right heel would be on the driver side (with floor mats it wouldn't be noticeable at all) Average scuffs and scratches, sun visors are worn, headliner is worn, two of the chrome rims have are bubbling, (one is very minor) Paint on front and rear bumper is spider-webbing in spots. All the problems with this car are common - to be expected - problems with a car of this age and with this amount of mileage. There is NO RUST on this car that I can find which is a huge plus! This car does have a lot of good things going for it. PRICE, the reserve is WAY under the kelly blue book value in FAIR condition of $3400 (I think this car is in better than fair condition but I have priced it well under to be fair) Some of the pros are as listed. - Tinted windows, manual fan switch, over the valve wire kit and over the valve Taylor wires (purple to match) Clean, this car overall is very clean inside and out, HOOKER competition long tube headers, Off- road Y pipe, (no cats, there will be a Service engine light on due to no catalytic converters and no downstream oxygen sensors) Magnaflow, Stainless cat back exhaust, this sounds very nice and has a powerful rumble. T-tops, Headlight motors both work, car runs very strong. Those who have test driven the car to date think this car has more modifications than I am aware of. Aiwa CD stereo system. 10 speaker sound system, leather interior (although driver seat is bad, the leather is still a desirable option. This car is being sold b/c I do not currently have storage for the winter months and with a two year old son, do not really have time or desire to monkey around with it. Please see the photos, I have tried to show some of the flaws in the photos. Do not be afraid to ask questions, however I do not know much history on this car and have only owned in for a short time. On Oct-07-11 at 15:18:55 PDT, seller added the following information:I would like to add that this is a RARE "collector" color purple, WA117B (GM paint code) Medium Dark Purple. I believe this was only offered for the Firebird in 1996. After much research I believe this Trans Am to be 1 of 164 1996 Trans Am Coupes with this color! I also would like to add that this automatic car has a 3.23 Gear ratio, with Limited slip POSItraction, a 155 MPH speedo, large 4 wheel disk brakes. This 5.7 Liter 305 LT1 powered vehicle gets about 18 City, and 24 Highway MPG, not bad for 300 Horsepower. On Oct-08-11 at 11:08:33 PDT, seller added the following information:A typo, sorry, this car has a 350 5.7 Liter, not a 305, my spelling error. There were no 305 motors for this generation of firebird, thank you
