87 442 project car. This is an original 87 442, with the "9" in the serial number. The transmission has a shift kit, and the rear end is a 3:73, but it is not a posi. This would make a great winter project. Overall the car and the frame is solid and a great looker at 40 ft. On closer inspection there are nicks, scratches, and the paint is showing the signs of a 24 year old. Mileage shows 93,000, but I cannot say is this is actual or not. Car has the Original 307, which most likely has a spun rod bearing. Car will start, and move under its own power, but the noise is there. An easy engine swap or rebuilt, and you could be driving in no time. Or strip her down and paint her, and be ready for the shows in the spring. There is very little rust on this car, and yes the frame is very solid. Bottom of doors are solid. The driver's rocker panel has a dent in it and this is why it looks funny in the pictures (last picture is an up close of it). Hopefully, the pictures will show what I have described. The reason that I am selling her is that it is the car my son drove and he has gone to college, and I want to put together a 70-72 442, or I would make this my project. This car is for sale locally, and I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. Payment is due with in 7 days of end of auction, and full payment must be recieved prior to transfer of title, or vehicle leaving my possession.
