Attached are current pictures of the 1966 K15 Factory 4X4. It was a Park Service vehicle for most of its life. The California DMV did a mileage check when I registered it and they said it was still the original mileage of 31,182 when I got it. It has around 44,000 on it now, I drive it most every day. It has the original 283, sm420 4 speed, Rockwell T221 Transfer Case and the original axles and suspension. The original 283 was rebuilt by the Park Service before it was sold. I have replaced or rebuilt the following parts since I have had it, recored the 4 row radiator, rebuilt the Rochester carb, rebuilt and converted the distributor (Pertronics Electronic Eye), new alternator, new power steering pump and lines, new fuel pump, plugs, wires, Stainless Steel block hugger headers and Stainless Steel dual 2 1/2" exhaust. The story goes that it was used to run a generator most of its life. The guy I purchased it from in San Francisco started a restoration but didn't do very good work. The bed is off a '63 which is the same as the '66 and I have a Steel Bedfloor to replace the rotted wood floor in it now. Everything in the pictures comes with it for the auction price. There are alot of restored parts included in the purchase. There is also an entire front sheetmetal with Big Window Cab and all. I have a rust free Big Back Window Cab, Front Fenders, Doors and the rest of the complete front sheetmetal that comes with it. The extra Cab and Sheetmetal has all been media blasted and coated in DP90 Epoxy Sealer. It comes with a complete restored Tach and Vac Gauge Cluster, Stock AM Radio, Chrome Grill and Chromed Hinges and Latches. It comes with a complete set of rebuilt 1 1/4 Ton Axles with 4.56 gears and Disc Brakes front and rear. The front is a Military Dana 60 (69.5" WMS to WMS) with Trac-Lock that was still in the crate when purchased. The rear is a 14 Bolt out of a Van (70" WMS to WMS). I have 5 new 17X9 Steel Wheels with 5" back spacing to clear the disc brakes. There is more money in the restored parts and extra sheetmetal then the starting price of the auction.
