Vehicle Detail
It is with great dismay that I must depart with my beloved 20 year old Fox Body Coupe. I once had big plans - BIG DREAMS - of building the quickest, fastest, sweetest Porsche/GT-R/'Vette-killer since the Ford GT...but better. Problem is, I already have one Fox Body that I've been working on for damn near 10 years and I just can't do it all over again from scratch. 'Stang guys know that the Coupe is the best platform for any type of racing OR getting great gas mileage from the 4-cylinder versions. I never planned on driving the car when I bought it last year but when the transmission went out on my truck, I achieved 25-30 MPG consistently in this car, that is before both cats went bad...the water pump went out...tranny slippage, etc., etc. After so many small, nagging issues, I give up. All the problems you could expect from a 20 year old car that wasn't taken care of in all the years before you owned it. Instead of keeping it (and killing it), I'd rather sell it to someone who can bring it back to glory (I hate seeing these cars in the junkyard). As I was saying, the car isn't running but a new water pump will get it wherever it needs to go. The TITLE is crystal clear but there is some damage behind the passenger door where this fool ran into me. Good news is that he mostly hit the rear passenger tire and the other damage is easily repairable. Bad news is that he damaged a previously accident-free car - as far as I know. There is no radio and even when new, it only had rear speakers, so this is pretty much a bare-bones car. I repaired random issues to keep the car going as a daily driver but that's about it. I hate to get rid of it but I'm ready to say goodbye. $500 deposit within 24 hours after the end of the auction. The Buyer is responsible for getting the car when/where they want it after the sale is completed, which is within 7 days after auction's end. I'm not a stingy communicator and I don't have anything to hide or hold back so hit me up with any questions/concerns before bidding and before the end of the auction. Of course, there is no turning back once it's sold so be sure to do your homework. Sold As-Is. Period. FOR THOSE CONSIDERING BUY IT NOW: I LOWERED THE PRICE!!! OH! I forgot, I've already sold pretty much everything that I had collected for the car EXCEPT the '74 351W block (THE best, but needs machining) and crank, new +.060 over pistons, rods w/"football" bolts, engine bearings, and a new lifter valley tray. I'm throwing all that in FREE also, but only IF the car sells for at least $1,250.00. Any less than that and the block, etc. can be purchased separately.
