Up for auction is my 86 CJ7 Renegade with a 258 inline six and 4spd trans. I was told by the original owner that the motor was rebuilt about 2-3 years ago. It runs great but is a little cold natured and it still has the original carb on it. It has the original Jeep plastic valve cover that is notorious for leaking. It drips a bit but should be an easy fix with an aluminum cover. The transmission is a bit hard to get in gear from neutral sometimes. Not a big deal but I believe in full disclosure. It has new plugs and wires, new Optima battery, and newer fuel tank. It is as close to original as you will probably find for its age. Almost everything works on it: lights, blinkers, dash lights, horn, speedo, battery gauge, oil gauge, fuel gauge. I not sure about the temp gauge. It was repainted years ago but the paint is faded a bit but not peeling. The outside body is straight and completely rust free. There is a small dime size spot of rust in the floor behind the passenger seat. There is no rust on the frame. Still has original soft top and owners manual. The soft top is not great and some of the zippers do not work. It was built in the last part of 86 so it is a widetrack with Dana 44 axles and lockers from the factory which is very rare. I just put new seats and seat belts in it. Lift is 4 inches, tires are 33x11.50 Super Swamper Thornbirds and have good tread. Warn winch with remote. I am keeping the Hi-lift jack. $500 deposit at close of auction is required. For sale locally. I reserve the right to end auction early.
