PLEASE FEEL FREE TO THROW ME OFFERS!!  PLEASE FEEL FREE TO THROW ME OFFERS!! ********************************************************************************************************************** Up for sale is a 2000 Dodge Ram 3500 van with an extended roof and handicap wheelchair hydraulic lift. The extended roof allows for passengers to walk through the van with ease. I am personally 6' 3" and have approximately 4" - 5" more space of head room. The van still runs smoothly for its age and size, considering we have always been on top of oil changes, air filter changes, tire rotations, etc. We personally bought the van with about 175,000 miles on it, so any small details that have occurred prior to then, we have no clue as to what happened. However, everything beyond that mileage point, we have taken great care of the van, used mainly for highway miles. Engine runs smoothly, transmission works well, fluids and other minor maintenance details have been well maintained. The van was actually used to start a small company to transport people with disabilities. We now have a mini van, so that is why we are here selling the van. The van has 9 seats, 4 of which fold up, allowing for 2 wheelchairs to fit. Therefore, the maximum capacity for this van is 5 ambulatory (walking) passengers and 2 wheelchairs, or 9 ambulatory passengers. The lift has been giving us minor problems recently, but with a little push, it works. The lift unfolds, folds, goes down and goes up by remote on a hydraulic system. The lift also has a manual pump back up system in case the hydraulic system does fail, which we have never experienced. There is an emergency exit on the side of the van and on the top of the van's roof, similar to a school bus. The van also has a huge stow-a-way compartment at the head of the driver. We found it useful to store emergency equipment, a GPS, a lockbox, etc. At the head of the driver, there is also a big rear view mirror, also similar to a school bus, so the driver can be sure that all of his / her passenger are safe. The passenger side door has a school bus opening system, where only the driver can open the door. All tires on the van are fairly new, at least they have quite some time before you have to replace them. The spare tire (shown close to the very end of all the photos, underneath the van), is BRAND NEW. That specific tire is VERY nice and retailed for $250.  In the floor board, there are 3 separate areas for tie downs or wheelchair seat belts.  I will also include the original key with one spare key. Lastly, because this van is old, there are a few things cosmetically wrong with it. There are few spots where the paint is chipped (see pictures below). One of the back doors is a little off centered, as the wheelchair lift got caught on the door in the wind once. The back door does have a bungee cord attachment to hold the door open for this circumstances, but the driver I had at the time was new and made a small mistake. This is ONLY cosmetic, as rain, snow, etc. have NEVER got inside the van, as the weather strip still provided some protecting to the gap. We think a ratchet strap attached to a tree would fix this right up, but we never got around to trying it. As you can see in some of the pictures, the van has accrued some rust, discoloration from opening and shutting the doors, a slightly dirty floor (which we have washed with soap several times before), etc. Personally, I think this van would be IDEAL for a small start up assisted living or transportation business. There are PLENTY of seats, smooth access for people in wheelchairs, etc. We bought this van originally for that EXACT reason and we have now upgraded. I will NEVER forget this thing!!
