Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE 1 owner 1970 mach-1 mustang barn find m-code, 4-speed, shaker, fold down, Rim blow, louvers, with front and rear spoilers # matching with 45.727 orig miles selling at no reserve! This is a true piece of American muscle car history that has not seen the outdoors for a very long time. It was parked in the barn where I found it back in the early eighty’s and it has sat there quietly for 30+ years. The information that I got about the car was that the original owner (now deceased) bought this car new in 1970 to use as his everyday driver and a local drag strip racer( I really envy the guys that had the chance to order, own and drive these cars when they were new) But around 1980 he decided he was going to restore the car back to original so it was parked and he did start to work on the car but as the years went by I think the car became less important to him. He had started a new job at GM as one of the engineers of the new corvettes (He helped design the fuel injection system for the new generation corvettes) and he had bought several rental properties so the car just sat in the barn. I was told about this car by the Owners best friend after his passing. So I went and looked at it and bought it and now it is available to you for the first time since new. It is a 351 Cleveland m-code with 300 factory rated hp, non running with a 4-speed and 3:25 open rear gear all numbers matching drive line. It also has a non original shaker with rear window louvers and the rear wing and the front chin spoiler. It was originally raven black with black interior. It has the rear sport deck seat (rear fold down) and a rim blow steering wheel but it is a non tach car. This car needs total restoration and would be very valuable with all the options and the original color of black. Even though it sat in a barn for most of its life it did suffer some rust. For starters the trunk drop on the driver’s side has some corrosion and will need to be replaced. The torque boxes are marginal but the frame rails look solid and the floors also look ok. It also appears to have had a fender bender at some point to the passenger side front looking at the radiator support. It may need patch panels at the bottom of the quarters but you can be the judge of that. Overall the car is a solid project to work with and it is being sold with no reserve so bid what you think it is worth and maybe you will be the proud new owner of a 70 mach 4-speed car. The Owners mother had the title put in her name after his passing so it is all signed off and legal so it is free to go to a new home . As you would expect this car is being sold in as is condition, being a project car with no warranties. The buyer is responsible for all shipping costs and all arrangements.
