I have for sale a rare 1974 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia. This is the last year the Karmann Ghia was built, and the only year for the rare L65K paint code (Ravenna green). This car is a great restoration candidate. All it needs are the cosmetics. This car was brought here from California, where it sold new, and spent most of it's life, so the undercarriage is not all rotted out. Neither are the rocker panels, where most Karmann Ghia's are rusted. The engine is rebuilt (w / receipt), and has only been driven about 500 miles since then. The transmission shifts great. It has a new gas tank, new brakes, newer tires, battery, etc. The heater works, as do all the lights and gauges. The car drives very good. We cruise around in it quite a bit. It is a real head turner. People love it. We are offering it for sale now, before starting restoration this winter. I work a lot, and don't really have the time that I wanted to spend on it to make it like new. The car is fully functional now, and drives great as it is. I personally tried to find one with this factory color on it, and they are very hard to find. I wanted one that would stand out in the crowd, and be one of the most rare. When these classics really appreciate in price, this will be the one to have. The car is available for inspection prior to bidding.
