1974 BMW R-Series

I am selling this because an accident on another bike has retired me from motorcycling. I road this bike for a number of years before it was rebuilt. It has new one over pistons, new valve guides and re-cut valve seats, new stainless steel spokes, new Continental tires, many new stainless steel bolts, new grips, new european handlebars, new progressive fork springs, new battery, many new rubber bits and is completely repainted. The pin stripes are tape. The bike starts easily and is ready to go with the exception of carburetor adjustment, brake adjustment, and clutch adjustment. These are post accident chores I do not wish to perform. The clutch was 90% and not replaced. The bike was built in January of 1974 and was one of the first R75/6's imported this may explain the drum brake in the front. It has the original under seat tool tray but no original tools. The milage is unknown. I am including a cover, Chiltons and Haynes manuals, and receipts for the parts and services performed. Shipping is the responsibility of the purchaser although I will assist. On Oct-16-11 at 16:05:02 PDT, seller added the following information: The included manuals are Clymer and Haynes not a Chiltons. I forgot about the long stem mirrors and tire pump. The seat uses a two pin method to stay on. It works fine for me. I will include the seat hooks but they scratch the sub-frame if used. All of the cables including throttle, brake, clutch, and choke are new. On Oct-16-11 at 17:24:29 PDT, seller added the following information: The Airheads out there noticed the progressive shocks on the rear and the lack of rear foot-pegs. I am including the original rear pegs and shocks. The shock towers are scraped some. The bike has a Dyna ignition and I am including the original points set up.
