FREE SHIPPING IN THE CONTINENTAL US IF YOU USE THE BUY NOW OPTION ONLY........for auction is a very nice 1972 comet GT. this car comes with a DELUXE MARTI REPORT....i purchased this car from texas several months ago for my 16 year old daughter. i had the car transported from texas. i was told that the car had been sitting for a long time. when i recieved it i was very happy with how clean and original the car looked. the car did not run that well so i removed the gas tank and flushed the tank and lines. i did a complete tune up with new wires and plugs new cap rotor and points. changed oil and antifreeze. after all of the work the car ran great but had alot of blow by. i tried several things to free the rings up but i had no luck. we decided to pull the motor and have it rebuilt. i had the motor rebuilt by a local builder who rebuilt the heads with new valve job and seals. then the motor was hot tanked and recieved new rings, bearings, seals, gaskets. motor is still standard bore, new oil pump, timing chain and gears, new gaskets, starter, water pump, alternator was rebuilt, carb was rebuilt, all new hoses, belts, filters, fuel pump, new heater core in dash just about everything. the motor and trans are original to the car. the trans is a c-4 and it shifts great. car gets rubber when it shifts. THE MOTOR HAS 150 MILES ON IT SINCE THE REBUILD....the body is very clean. i included a few pictures that show the floors with the carpet removed. the underneath of the car is very clean. the trunk floors are solid. the fenders and rocker panels are solid. the car was dented at one time in the front driver side inside corner area and there is some damage to the inside of front fender, the driver side core support and the driver side apron. i have included pictures of these areas. all of the panels in these areas still line up. i checked the car over real good there was no structual damage. all of the panels in these areas and on the whole car are the original panels to the car. the car looks to have been repainted a long time ago and the paint is fadded. who ever painted the car never painted any of the jambs so all of the door jamb areas and inside of deck lid and hood is all original. all of the original decals are still on the car. the car has all of its original weatherstripping. all of the glass is original. i installed new carpet, new original factory style front bucket seat covers at a cost of 675.00... new dash cap, sill plates. the tires are excellent. the wheels are not original to the car they are from a torino i believe. they look great and they were on the car when i got it so i left them. ODEMETOR SHOWS 60,000 MILES I AM SURE IT IS 160,000 MILES BUT MOTOR HAS 150 MILES SINCE REBUILD.....i have around 6900.00 into the car and my reserve is not near that. you would have a very very hard time buying a clean car and rebuilding everything that i have done for my reserve. i am selling the car because my daughter got tired of waiting for me to finish the car. she has purchased a newer car and i have enough cars of my own. this car is a very nice great running and driving car. all of the hard work is done. you can drive the car and enjoy it now. it is not a concourse original nut and bolt restoration car. it is a very original numbers matching car but it might not have the proper wheels or this and that so dont email me telling me what is correct or not because if you do i will hunt you down and thud you real hard. i can store car for the winning bidder for 30 days at no charge as long as the car is paid for in full. i would like a 500.00 deposit through pay pal that is non refundable. the balance can be paid for in cash or cashiers check. car will not leave my garage until all funds have been paid for in full and have cleared.
