1971 Honda CB

Honda CB750 special. 1971 model modified as shown. Completely rebuilt from bare frame, everything gone through. Starting with original 22370 mile bike ( I have owned this bike for 11 years and put 14,000 miles on it myself. It has 142 miles since completed. The engine even though it was running fine, I refurbished with new gaskets, piston rings and a high performance valve job (3 angle). The carbs were fully rebuilt with new jets matched for proper running. The side covers and rocker cover were polished not chromed. The custom exhaust has a custom short muffler that gives it the adequate back pressure and smooth surprisingly quiet sound. The frame was painted with original type paint and black color. The forks, triple tree, brakes are from a GL1000. I wanted 2 front discs (original bike has just one). The rear shocks are Japanese made high performance gas adjustable. The wheels were completely rebuilt with bearings, original 19" front and 18" rear rims that were powder coated black, then relaced with new original spokes, and the hubs were polished, not chromed. Fitted with new Dunlop K70 3.50/19 and 4.0/18 tires. The gas tank was narrowed 2 inches and split in 2 pieces, one for the engine oil and one for gas. It has new original Honda emblems. It has a custom gas cap and original oil tank cap. It has a custom made polished aluminum seat base with a real suade seat. Custom made tail panels that house the electrics and the battery. The bike retains PUSH BUTTON STARTER but it can be kick started also. It has the original speedometer installed. All new cables, grips and low handlebars (not too low so it rides at a comfortable height because of the lower seat). GL1000 Halogen headlight and CB450 taillight on fabricated brackets. License plate holder acts as chain guard also. The bike runs awesome, starts at the touch of the button and handles incredible. Super reliable, easy to maintain, looks cool. It is a shortened stock chrome mirror that looks good.
