Vehicle Detail

Hello! Thanks for checkin out My 1989 Honda CRX Si I am the second owner and have a clean carfax report on hand if you have any concerns. The car originally was sold in Oklahoma and then the owner moved to ohio where i assumed it picked up the little bit of rust it has :( . I found it on autotrader a year or 2 back and bought it with out plans of ever selling it.....But my daughter is 5 yrs old and a 2 seat car was great for me and my wife to have fun but 3's company in this little Honda :) SO i've decided to sell her....My Loss hopefully your great gain! This car is special....I think it has almost all of the factory options that could be ordered.... Factory Mud Flaps... Factory Arm Rest (it was reupholstered poorly...i re-reupholstered it and put brand new cushy foam and its a vynal top instead of cloth)... Factory floor matts still in decent shape no holes...(they were missing the drivers side C and R letters i used black denim iron on patch material and fixed it up as well as I could so it as least looked uniform...see pics OH and it has a factory Honda CD Player under the stereo ...I watch CRX's sell all the time and very very rarely have i ever seen this option in the 89's....THAT BEING SAID...SADLY the CD player as far as I can tell does not function and the Stereo functions poorly....BUT they look beautiful and clean...I was only really planning on taking This car to shows as the years went by so the functionality of the stereo meant little to me....it was the stock clean look I was going for so i never replaced it....(very easy to put a new Head Unit in) The drivers seat(as you can see in the the pics) is not the original....the seat was badly torn up as most of the drivers seats in the CRX's are so i replaced it with a very nice 92-95 honda civic seat ( i did something called a seat pan swap...bottom line it functions perfectly and still has all the original seat equipment and the seatbelt light still functions overhead) it just does not match....I have the other matching seat that can go with the car but CRX Si seats are so hard to come by these days that i could not see taking the perfect passenger seat out because if you continue to restore the vehicle at least you have one perfect seat already instead of trying to find 2.....The seat covers were just so they at least looked uniform....They are Advanced auto seat covers but they are Nice and I strapped them all under the seats correctly and they are snug and hey they say Honda at least haha :) ....55k original miles no oil leaks at the valve cover or at the oil pan as far as i can tell....I have only maybe put 700 miles on the car since I've owned it....Its been garage kept the entire time its been in my possession... The valve cover paint is chipping a little and I was going to re-finish but I dont believe any piece of this engine has been broken away from another and once you start breakin original seals then its just leak leak leak from there on out...so i figure the chips weren't that important to repair. I recently replaced the Spark plugs...Wires...Distributor cap and rotor ALL HONDA FACTORY ORDERED (have reciepts to prove it) The Spark Plug Wires I removed were the Factory original wires I believe .... They were dated 1988!! Also a fresh oil change (Honda Oil Filter & PennzOil) Honda factory Air Filter also a Purolator Fuel filter and flushed the brake system. AND entire Exhaust New Cat Back....Walker Cat and Bosal factory fit exhaust all the way back to 2 chrome factory look tips(not all OEM but all OEM Replicate) I was really going for just clean stock 1989 with an edge....(hence the gloss black wheels and the custom Vent Shades) Shes Clean smooth .... Brand new Pennsylvania Inspection - Brakes are great....Tires practically brand new...I mean I can't think of anything this car needs except some paint work rust repair and thats it. This CRX is wild....you can't imagine what this little 1.6L feels like with 55K miles on it .... More power than you'd every expect and easy on gas to boot of course.... Wildest thing is once shes warmed up....when you idle at a light i promise you'll think the car died LoL its so quiet and smooth you'd almost think it only had 55 thousand miles on it.......LoL ALL that being said its a great car....low miles...BUT IT IS a 1989.....it has some Paint issues....i wish it wasn't so...but it has some a little rust...and a few dings and a good size dent on the passenger side fender...I took pictures of all of these flaws so you know I'm being up front and forward about everything so you know what your getting before you bid....PLEASE BE SURE YOU WANT THIS CAR IF YOU BID THANK YOU! I have made so many trips to look at cars and i get there only to be like you know...if you would have told me about this in the first place i wouldn't even have wasted my time or yours ....I'm sure some of you have been there ... SO EITHER WAY check out the pics ...ask a bunch of questions and BUY THIS CAR LoL! Good Luck and Happy Bidding....... I will be adding more pics and info later or if you have any questions or want other pics just contact me and I will do my best to answer all your questions and send you pictures! THANKS! P.S. AIR CONDITIONING IS ICE COLD! GOD BLESS! On Oct-09-11 at 22:45:47 PDT, seller added the following information: Hello Again! Just had received a question that makes me want to re-word something I stated in the description about The car originating in Oklahoma and the owner Moving to Ohio.....Forgive me I guess my wife and I have just stewed over what the story could be behind the car so many times wondering if the car could talk what story would she tell haha :) that maybe I somehow think i know....but truthfully I do not know the original owner and I am only basing my thoughts on little tid bits that I had found in the car and old inspection stickers I scraped off the vehicle .... There is a Don Carlton Tulsa Oklahoma sticker on the tail of the car (see pics) I have left that intact because inside i also found a Don Carlton Prefferred customer Card with a womens name on it dated 1989(i assume the first owner??) and there is also a SUNOCO refinary Tulsa sticker on the front windshield with a number and I assumed maybe the first owners parking permit for the plant?? ( I also have left this intact ) I just enjoyed them as little pieces of My Unicorns Puzzle....I also scraped off several old inspection stickers to make room for the FRESH Pennsylvania sticker so i guess all these odds and ends led me to that statement forgive me if it was misleading....The truth is how a car in america this old only has 55 some thousand miles I have no idea....I assume it of course must have sat somewhere for quite a long time...I purchased the vehicle in Pontiac Michigan from a dealer....I just figured maybe they had purchased it at maybe an Estate Sale or something? again only assumptions....Even a CarFax report doesn't get that nitty gritty haha....But either way i have no reason to believe the mileage is inccorrect...the AutoCheck has shows no Errors and give it a very good score actually and I would assume the AutoCheck runs on the same fact checking system as CarFax or somehow very close to right? I also will do my best to post a LINK to a few more pictures so that you can see the undercarriage and some other odds and ends photos I took so that as I stated in my description you know exactly what your bidding on.....again forgive me if I misled anyone...any other questions please ask and if you are local your welcome to come by and check out the car....I wont' let you drive it without cash in hand but I'll gladly take you for a spin! Thanks Again! Good Luck!On Oct-10-11 at 09:27:58 PDT, seller added the following information: Hello Again Again! Well I said I would post some more stuff so added 100 pictures to my PhotoBucket album so you can see I believe every piece of the car .... I want there to be no surprises I want somebody to get a good car and be sure of what they are bidding on and receiving....NO SURPRISES!...This car is my baby...again my intention was to keep her for the rest of forever and just drive her to the local car shows when I was 80 haha....but children have ways of changing your mind....SO either way Check out the pics! ASK ME ANY QUESTION YOU WANT! and BUY THIS CAR! ( OHHH and if you have a 0% feedback and you plan on placing the winning bid come sunday I will need you to contact me before you plan on placing your final bid....I need to be sure of your intentions as a prospective buyer with not feeback rating for me to go by I'll need to talk to you) THANKS AGAIN! One of these links should work for you and will take you straight to the 100 image album....God Bless :)
