Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is my 1976 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40. Recent work in the last 200 miles or less include: -Nearly a full restoration -Rebuilt head with brand new valves -New head gasket, exhaust gasket, valve cover gasket, oil pan gasket, rear main seal -New Sachs clutch kit -New clutch master cylinder -Interior tub lined -New weather stripping on all doors -New shift boots -New dash cover -New visor blades -New interior door panels -New powder coated wheels (I also have 1976 date stamped Firestone white spoke wheels that were on it since 76' will go with). -New Rancho 5000 shocks on all 4 corners -New Rancho steering stabilizer -Drivelines serviced and repainted -Transmission and transfer case cleaned and new oil -Brakes all checked and good pad life -E-brake adjusted -New single stage Sikkens paint in July 11' -All bulbs replaced including gauge cluster bulbs -New head lights -New tail light lenses and weather stripping -New windshield -Frame and axles re painted in gloss enamel -New Energy poly shackle bushings installed -Just about every visible bolt either replaced or cleaned -New spark plugs and pcv valve/grommet -Smog legal chrome header installed -Rebuilt Saginaw steering box I'm sure there is more I am forgetting... The cruiser starts right up and sounds very good. It drives well through all gears and 4 wheel drive engages and works well also. The brakes are great and has factory power front discs. Rebuilt saginaw power steering and works well. The tires are Firestone Radial ATX in 31x10.5x15 with 50% or better tread. The matching spare is on an original fj wheel at 100% tread. I have the original safety "fall out straps" and several little miscellaneous odds and ends to go with it (original 76' owners manual). It does drip a tiny bit of oil even with all new gaskets and seals and honestly I have not seen one that does not drip a little. It needs a shoulder harness belt for the passenger side and the lap belt moved back to the jump seat. It does not currently have an antenna or radio and I have placed an aluminum plaque over the radio hole. It needs the interior map light to be wired (quick fix). The reserve tank has not been used by me or the previous owner and may need the solenoid replaced in order for it to work. The rear heater is there but not plugged in or plumbed and I have not found it cold without it. The seats have Specter covers over them and the bottoms are a little worn. The factory seat backs are in good shape but the bottoms need a re covering. The little things it needs are mostly just luxuries that I do not let bother me however should be told. It needs very few things to be 100% original. I am confident the next owner will find many years of pleasure with this cruiser as I have thoroughly gone through just about every square inch. The paint is not perfect but was sprayed at a shop and it definitely turns heads and gets compliments everywhere I take it. I am only selling it to fund a toy my whole family will appreciate more and enjoy. I had it listed a week ago and the high bidder turned out to be a scam. If you have a feedback score less than 10, you must contact me before bidding. I will sell world wide and am willing to drop it off at a shipping yard in Oakland, CA for an additional $500.00. This is an AS-IS item so please bid with confidence. Thanks and happy bidding. On Oct-10-11 at 17:12:22 PDT, seller added the following information: Here is a video of the cruiser, keep in mind that I have since added a Rancho steering stabilizer, new rebuilt Saginaw power steering box, an aluminum plaque over the radio, a new clutch master cylinder, and replaced the passenger side hardtop glass due to a scratch. Thanks and happy bidding: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YzjCeGUmCbM
