Original sticker price of over $60,000. Engine is a 40 valve 4.2L V8 producing 340 HP/310 Ft Lb @ 3400 rpm. Tiptronic 5 Speed automatic. Quattro IV full-time all wheel drive. Only 58k miles. The factory says the powertrain is good for a 0-60 mph sprint of 6.5 seconds. It appears there were only 198 Avants produced in 2002 with only about 1400 in total were produced from 2001-2003. The body is in excellent condition with zero rust. The car was registered in CA from 5/02 until 12/09. It had a small amount of front end damage and was rebuilt. The airbags have never been deployed and no engine damage occured. It runs like new and drives straight and true. Exhaust sounds great. True sleeper. It has new front brake pads and rotors along with 4 new Enkei EKM3 wheels wrapped with General Exclaim UHP 255/40ZR/18's all around. Non-smoker. Synthetic oil. Timing belt with all pulleys and water pump changed at 45k. HSport sway bars front and rear. Extremely clean inside and out. 36 cubic feet of luggage space. 35% Tint all around. Power everything. I do not know the extent of the damage that was done to the car in California. I bought the car from a fellow in North Carolina that bought the car in need of repairs and how it fixed at I-26 auto body in Asheville, NC. They have been in business since 1977 and is owned by Steve Moss. The car wheres a tag inside the front driver side door from North Carolina BMV - License and Theft Bureau that reads Total Loss Claim Vehicle. From talking to the previous owner it did not sound that the damage was very bad. The engine was unharmed, the body is straight, it drives true. The only thing I notice is the headlights angle down a bit. When you turn on the high beams, it allows plenty of light at night without obstructing oncoming vehicles. This may be able to be adjusted/fixed but it didn't bother me enough to attempt it. This is the nicest most comfortable car I have owned, it even has a full suede headliner. Seats are heated and everything works as it should. The Bose sound system is fantastic. Power sunroof, doors, windows, mirrors, keyless entry, and alarm. For the money, there is no other car that I could think of that handles, excellerates and rides as nice as a S6. The Quattro system makes this car driveable anytime of the year.
