alright folks, here it is. A true clean(notshow) 1966 vw. It has the original 1300 engine. the only year it was offered. a minor oil leak and I believe it is the seal behind the belt pully. only when operated at hwy speed. it will not leak just sitting and it is a very small amount after driven for a week. I don"t even have to add oil and I check it everyday. But I suppose you would say it has the usual little drops after 45 yrs. The car has been professionally converted to 12 volt. This car is at present a daily driver. This was the last year that the bucket headlights were available. It has the over rider bumpers. No tears in the headliner or seats or door panels. I believe this was the last year for the all steel dash. It has brand new heaterboxes, all windows are like new with no chips or scratches. all chrome is in very good condition and all there. It has empi wheels and a original type spare with good tires. The paint is original type laquer (not basecoat/clearcoat) and is in presentable condition. The previous owner put in a new transmission.(I replaced the clutch cable last week). new brakes, a new carb, new heaterboxes and muffler,new firewall kit,tie rod ends,shocks,ign switch and am/fm radio that was meant for a classic. it fits the original holes. The floor pans are in good shape to include the battery box. I drive this car everyday and it gets alot of comments. The car is clean with a New Mexico title. I can not speak for the original mileage as the car came from mississippt with mileage exempt and that is how I had to register it here. All lights and turnsignals,brakelights, licenseplate lights work as they should. At night when the park lights are on the headlights look really cool as if they were flaming orange. The parking lights are behind the headlight lens. The original owners manual is still with the car and I have the original radio which will go with the car. all the carpet,doorpanels, seat covers,headliner have been replaced at some point before I owned it and all in very good and clean condition. The fuel guage is the original mechanical guage and it still works. Please do not bid on this VW if you are not serious. I have represented this vw to the best of my ability and being the car is 45 yrs old, Well, it is not new, its clean and runs out good. I will assist with shipping if needed all @ buyers expense. I will not pay for shipping. $500 non refundable paypal deposit due at auction end and balance of certified funds within 7 days at such time I will surrender title. I realize dealing with shippers it could be a few weeks. no problem. It will be garaged until picked up.
