Vehicle Detail
First: If you have a feedback score of 10 or less, you must contact me first before bidding. I've had too many auctions ruined by people that do not understand eBay. Small note about the seller: Don't let the low feedback scare you. I have another eBay site with 118 positive feedback. I'm just starting a new site for my girlfriend and myself. Also I have been a bodyman/ painter for twenty years now and I know what to look for in any old car. And yes, I thought about painting the car but thought I would try to sell it on eBay, as is, incase an "original buff" is out there. This car has a 302 with automatic transmission. It runs and drives just beautifully. You could hop in this car and drive it coast to coast. It just goes down the road unbelievably nice. It has Never been painted. This car has always been in Colorado and therefore is 100% rust-free. That includes the rocker panels, the wheel lips, and the bottom of the fenders and quarter panels. It has a couple of dents that could be fixed and put into primer within a couple hours. I kid you not, it is very very straight, but since it is the original paint it does have a lot of chips from over the years. But you can tell by the chips that the paint is original and thin; they would sand out easily. But all things considered, the car looks excellent just the way it is, and gets compliments all day long. The interior, just like the rest of the car is beautiful as you can see. Only two flaws are: Cracks in the dash, and the rip on the driver's side of the seat. Everything on and in the car works: The wipers, heater, radio, horn. All of the lights work including: dash lights, glove box light, trunk light, running lights, reverse light, liscense light, turn signals, emergency, parking brake, and even the dome light comes on when any of the four doors are opened. All of the seat belts are there including the shoulder straps which are in there original place. All of the windows roll up and down perfectly as well as the vent windows which roll out. The sun visors are perfect and are tight. The headliner is perfect, does not sag and looks new. The rear package tray is perfect. The floor vents work. The trunk is solid as has the original spare tire set up, complete and not missing a thing. I'm sure I'm leaving something out, but you can ask and I will answer asap. I will Not deliver (unless you live in Detroit, then I will go home and visit). I will need two hundred down, through Paypal, if you win the auction. Balance to be paid by personal check or other secure method, and car will not be released until the check clears. Thank you and Good Luck!On Sep-30-11 at 09:11:23 PDT, seller added the following information: I knew I would forget so here are a few more things about the car and the shipping. Other points of interest on the car are: The brakes work perfectly. They are drums front and back, but they work great. They brake even and do not pull. The emergency brake does work. The tires I'd say are at about 60% tread but look great and have even wear. They are 15 inch. The hubcaps that are on it are the correct style and year. Back to the interior: The door panels and armrests look great. The remote cable driven, side mirror works. The shift indicator works. This car also has a "Cold" light which goes out when the engine warms up, and it works also. The Galaxie also comes with two sets of the original keys. They have "Ford" stamped on one side and "FAMILY OF FINE CARS" on the reverse. I also mentioned that I might be able to deliver this car to Detroit. This is still a possibility but I forgot to say that I would have to charge 500 dollars for fuel. I believe a transport company would be cheaper though.
