HELLO-THIS IS A 1988 GSXR 750 SLINGSHOT, NEAR FULLY RESTORED WITH ZERO MILES ON RESTO, YET NOT RUNNING. LAST TIME IT WAS REG'D WAS 1997. --the original owner is my friend from high school, i sat on this bike when brand new in 1988. I purchased from him in jan 2011 after it had sat since 1997 and took it down to the frame and did these things: --replaced stock front with 1990 gsxr1100 inverted front, that I had rebuilt/resealed/new fork tubes/etc etc at catalyst reaction in san mateo. (the bike comes with the original front end and fender)--also had catalyst reaction rebuild/reseal/revalve the period Fox remote reservoir rear shock.--had the wheels powder coated white, pressed in new bearings from all balls, fit stock sized battleaxe bt016's, mounted new sprockets front and rear and a new chain. --purchased suzuki NOS rear wheel skin/ fender and mud flap. --suzuki NOS petcock, petcock lever, gas cap, breather, breather tube, fuel lines, fuel line springs and many fasteners. ---body work was fully painted professionally at a local shop, is clean and brand new looking with decals from rd decals. they made a small mistake on left rear white stripe with tiny bubbles as seen in pics. paint is beautiful. --THE BIKE HAS SWEET ENDURANCE RACING HEADLIGHTS THAT BURN BRIGHT YELLOW!!!!!--replaced flush mount signals with stock. have the stock brand new for the rears but hight mount exhaust interferes. they come with bike. ---exhaust is a period 3 into 2 into 1 hindle carbon. its very nice. ---have all the solo seat stuff as well as the passenger stuff. you need stock or low mount exhaust to mount right passenger foot peg. ---it is a matching number frame and motor. frame is super clean. ----and NOW FOR THE NON RUNNING MOTOR---I had this rebuilt at a shop. this bike was running in 1997 when my friend parked it but i wanted to go through it. head i had cleaned and looked really good, I bought forged wiseco 1mm over pistions/rings and the shop bored the cylinders to 1mm over. BUT when they got the motor back together, it ran terrible. I had a leak down done and it has around 90 compression with oil in the cylinders. either they bored the cylinders too big or the rings arent seated. they just ran it a cpl minutes. Ive spent 6 months and about 8-9k on this thing and im just going to pass it on to someone who has a motor or can do the pistons right. the original slingshot carbs come with k&n's and are really nice. I also have the original yosh heat sheild and air box pieces as well as repro heat shield ---comes with random parts in pics ---comes with 1988 gsxr 750 shop manual. ---bike is BEAUTIFUL!! I hope it goes to a good home. has zero miles on all this work-- ---i couldnt load all of the pics showing the period shop manual, the pics show NOS petcock without lever, bike comes with NOS petcock lever. have all parts for the complete original front end and some NOS spare stuff. also freshly painted and decalled the passenger seat cowl which is included along with a tinted windscreen, a rough spare upper fairing and a rough spare lower fairing
