Vehicle Detail
She's a beauty. Viper red, with white stripes. Ready to go. Built with a period correct 327 motor and muncie 4 speed trans. It has 4 wheel disc brakes and a Moser 12 bolt posi with 388 gearing. It features Dougs headers with flowmaster exhaust. Cragar ss wheels with B.F Goodrich radial T/A tires. Everything replaced, suspension, steering, drive-train, cooling system, brake system, fuel system, entire interior, tilt steering column, gauges, stereo system, all the electrical, every piece of glass, every molding etc. etc. etc. Do i really need to list it all? (The car is currently insured with Hagerty's with an agreed upon value of $40k.) You can eat off the engine compartment, you can do the same with the under carriage. The car is done. It looks great, paint and body are a 8.5 out of 10, it sounds awesome, drives great, and grabs attention like a fire truck racing to a 5-alarm fire. Car has 6k miles on it since rebuild, I have most of the receipts and photo's from the restoration. The car recently completed a trip from Newport Beach Ca. up california hwy 1 through Big Sur and into Carmel by the Sea, and back down through the Yosemite valley. What a treat and joy. I do have the car scheduled to participate in the OCVCCA car how in october, so if it doesn't sell, i will keep it and continue to enjoy it. :) Opening bid just reduced to $26,999 with a buy it now of $38,000. By the way, if you use the buy it now option, i will throw in a complete set of 15" rally wheels with tires, rings and center caps, a fitted car cover and a complete Vintage Air A/C system, that i never got around to installing. Payment by cash in person or certified U.S. bank check only. Payment due within 7 days of auction end. Buyer to be responsible for all shipping/transportation. or pick up in Orange County California, 92867. I prefer to sell to the continental U.S. only, also the Car is for sale locally, and i may end the auction early if necessary. Re-listed because evil-bay says i have to state "in person" when i specify payment by cash. How else would i accept cash? So they canceled the last auction. On Oct-03-11 at 15:09:52 PDT, seller added the following information: Did i mention that this is a rust free california original, and that the build took 2 years to complete? Thanks for looking, good luck on the bidding. On Oct-03-11 at 15:13:05 PDT, seller added the following information: I do have a binder full of all the receipts and pictures of the build from start to finish. On Oct-03-11 at 15:55:28 PDT, seller added the following information: O.K., i just added up all the invoices total for the parts alone, and it totals $25, 247 +/- that is for the parts ALONE, this does not include the labor costs!!!!!!!!! OVER $25K IN PARTS FOR THE RE-BUILD OF THE CAR!!!!!! On Oct-03-11 at 15:59:14 PDT, seller added the following information: The receipts of $25k is for the parts alone, this does not include the motor and transmission cost. So you can figure that they cost a cool $5-$7k just for that. So i would say it is safe to say that the car cost over $30k in parts to build, not including the labor. On Oct-03-11 at 16:16:54 PDT, seller added the following information: ************************FREE SHIPPING WITH THE BUY IT NOW FUNCTION********************************* Buy it now for $38,000 and i will pay for the shipping. (free shipping only applies to buy it now, thanks) On Oct-04-11 at 22:11:54 PDT, seller added the following information: After reviewing the $25k in parts receipts, i realized that there is not a receipt for the body prep and paint job on the car. So i would dare to say that the paint job alone would fetch another $5k. With that being said, it brings the total for the restoration to over $35,000 excluding most of the labor, which two years to complete. What i am saying is this, you could not build this car for my asking price, even if you did the labor yourself. The auction is almost over, so bid to win, or watch another great opportunity pass you by, only to kick yourself down the road. Thank you.
