Vehicle Detail

What you are bidding on is a very good 1946 model Willys Military Jeep that is currently running and driven regularly. It has the 4 cylinder flat head engine with original transmission. The body and frame on this jeep is in very good condition and ready to go. The jeep has no rust issues. This jeep is ready to drive, it cranks and runs good. Original rims with good tires, there is a small crack in the windshield, it has 5 gallon fuel can and mount. Spare tire mount with tire, and Army Insignias along with other accessories. All original except the generator switched to 12 volts with an alternator. The front suspension does vibrate some at certain speeds on the highway due to needing some repair work and adjustment. It is drivable and driven on a regular basis at parades and car shows. The jeep is stored in a dry building and kept covered. There are very few to be found like this one. It also has a 50 Cal. Replica mounted, with fake ammo and can. (gun is non operational) Great for parade vehicle or hunting transport, Bill of sale only, (no title) This jeep will be an excellent addition to any collection or for representation purposes at shows and events. If you have any questions please contact me and I will get back to you asap. Thanks for looking, and Good Luck!!On Sep-29-11 at 11:52:25 PDT, seller added the following information: Additional details and Information:: OK, here's the deal on this jeep. Due to some questions and requests for more information and photos I am including the following details about this jeep. I purchased it approx. 6 years ago as a project vehicle and since there is no title I have only the word of the previous owner for year and model verification. Here is what I do know about it: It is either a 1946 0r possibly a 1948 according to the vin number which is: CJ2-153970 It was off the frame when I got it and had the engine, transmission, and gear boxes completely rebuilt. All components in the running gear are excellent and have given me no problems. I have driven this jeep on the highway at speeds up to 30mph with no issues, (the front does shimmy on occasion) I have no clue why it does this. The jeep cranks and runs great for Parade Use. The gun is a correct reproduction weapon (no guts) and the 50Cal. barrel is authentic. It includes ammo rounds, can, and several period correct accessories with the jeep and the gun. Basicly whats in the photos is what you will get with this jeep. I also have the spare tire rim (not in photos) which is to be included. *one tire is street tire,(rt. rear) This jeep is well worth the reserve I have set on it and will be sold as shown and described. It is also being sold in "as-is" condition and the sale is final. "The buyer is to assume all risks and liability related to the use an operation of this vehicle."
