Vehicle Detail

Hi everyone, for sale here is my 1974 Ford F250 "High-Boy". I have had this truck for 5 years and it has served mainly as a truck used for going to the dump, shuffling boats around, moving wood, and crawling around the woods. It was re-painted by the previous owner a nice rich red which I am actually quite fond of, he also added a bed liner which fits well. The bed on the truck is not original as it has a fuel fill rear of the drivers side wheel well and I believe it is off of a 1979 Truck. The actual fuel fill is on the cab of the truck in this case, just behind the driver door. Also, I hot glued the front fender flare on just to give you an idea of what they look like. Notable features of the truck. The good: -Drive train is all in working order, the transfer case has some oil around it but has had no problems, the 4-wheel drive works great with the Warn locking hubs, and the 4-speed shifts fine. -There is a 390cid engine in her with power steering which is noisy but leak free and no A/C. Heat blows hot. -It comes with almost brand new 38.5" Super Swamper TSL tires and chrome wheels as well as two spare matching tires which are used but not in bad shape. These were an $1100 purchase and I'm trying to save myself time by selling along with the truck. I had planned to lift the truck a bit more but I don't have the time but I think it would be much better for 4-wheeling with some more lift, though the factory lift is not bad. I also have the original 15.5" black wheels and tires that came with the truck -I am also including a full set of fiberglass fender flares that I had shipped from Iceland for $500 plus shipping. Here is the site where there are from along with an image of them mounted http://www.brettakantar.is/?skoda=myndir&safn=18&stor=1 -I managed to fit a 3000lb. Warn winch behind the front bumper however I let too much line out and ripped the cable off so that needs to be re-attached -I just replaced the entire ignition system except for the coil (plugs, wires, points, condenser, cap, rotor) -Lund cab visor which I think compliments the truck very well, it is color matched to the body -The dash is in amazing shape with no cracks The not so good: -At full right turn the tires begin to rub the pitman arm. I have two 2" wheel spacers not installed currently and planned on running them with the fender flares -High beam (dimmer) switch is out I believe so no high beams currently. Also the 4 fogs I installed on the bumper need new bulbs. -No Stereo currently but I did put new speakers in. The old stereo was awful and jury rigged to fit so I just removed it. Not like you can really hear it over the thunder of the exhaust anyways -Speaking of exhaust, there is a small leak at the header/main pipe junction and the truck currently has two glass packs I believe which make it sound mean but definitely on the loud side -There is a nice bondo area that revealed itself after I nudged a tree which is an eyesore, especially since my temporary solution was to primer and seal it to prevent rust -The passenger door won't lock for whatever reason, I imagine its not a tough fix but I never locked the thing so it never bothered me -There is a 2.5" around chip on the hood which I don't notice but it is there -I pulled the front fenders out a bit to accommodate the larger tires and it was not the best solution, the form just doesn't look right and I think the flares would make the difference -There is no floor mat currently and the seat has an aftermarket cover on it which I'm sure is covering the shot old one -Some of the instrument bulbs are out including the cab bulb -There are some small bits of rot I tried to capture in the photos, one being on the driver floor door sill and some bubbles near the lower windshield corner -I believe the carburetor needs to be rebuilt, I'm not sure it ever has been and lately it has be running rich to the point of stalling. It's possible the coil just needs to be replaced but I suspect a car rebuild would do wonders for her. -There are various small oil leaks that I haven't even bothered to track down, though I suspect the head gaskets could be the culprits -As I stated before, the transfer case is wet but is in good working order beyond that I've tried to represent the truck as well as I can, if you have any further questions please email me.
