1960 BMW R60, low mile survivor with R69 engine, perfect for sidecar, runs well - looks great ! Tons more pics here than Ebay will let me load ! http://kwc.smugmug.com/Other/1961-R60/18768747_RPqCbH Youtube video so you can hear it talk! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=og7mQpLOPlU 11,158 miles on the chassis, more powerful R69 engine swapped in in the 1970s owned by a friend of mine in my riding club and his wife since 1965 ! he is elderly and giving up riding and the bike, which is like a member of the family frame plate (shown in photos) was not re-attached after painting but is included the chassis miles are correct, they only rode it locally on poker runs etc motor was swapped in due to a scored piston in the original engine clean Illinois title in hand, no liens, chassi VIN is 621247 and motor serial number is 653054 kickstart only, best of all, the sidecar mounting points all appear to be present pipes are aftermarket (Japanese) and quiet / pretty solid, showing some minor rust at outlet (not rattling or buzzing though) bike has been constantly running throughout their ownership starts readily, idles, the clutch, brakes and gears all feel great on the road charges strongly, good battery, all engine and chassis electrics work except the horn, no oil smoke period correct Wixom fairing with original paint (tipover stress cracks in fairing paint on right side) and some touchup (shown), no cracks in fairing period correct crash bars, backrest, and highway pegs Buco bag mounts (for the Twinmaster or smaller City bags), panniers not included but can be found at swap meets or on ebay occasionally folding Denfield luggage rack included in nice condition bike has been painted once and paint looks pretty good, pinstriping just ok, tank emblems look nice slight bit of rash on taillight trim, dent in one head pipe midway along, some gouges in both valve covers minor oil weeps here and there, nothing alarming has added sidestand, centerstand missing the boot tab red tank lining still in great shape, some microcracks in speedo lens (common) could use new shift rubber, two driver footpeg rubbers (split), and glove box gasket new driveshaft boot included (not installed) as are 4 new unistalled pushrod seals includes original key, factory tool kit and original owner's manual for the bike (cover split and slight water rippling but pretty good) no splits in the "breadloaf" dual seat, seat can be replaced with readily available reproduction solo and pillion seats Earles forks in great shape, does NOT have the frame mounted air pump but mounting points there tires are only one year old! a timeless classic airhead you can ride every day, or go search out that Stieb sidecar you always wanted! $500 deposit due within 48 hours of at auction end (non-refundable if you bail for your own reasons), balance due upon pickup or prior to shipping forms of payment are cash, wire transfer or (confirmable and cleared) bank checks I can ship this bike with a reputable, insured carrier who specializes in motorcycle shipping in enclosed trucks, email me for a cost estimate before bidding
