Vehicle Detail
1966 Buick Skylark Convertible Excellent Condition Low Reserve Southern Car Up for sale is a 1966 Buick Skylark Convertible in Excellent condition especially for its age. It was just painted and has never seen rain since. Power steering, Power Brakes. Power Top I was told when I purchased the car it has a 350 with either a 350 turbo or 400 turbo automatic transmission. I believe the odometer has rolled once and the mileage should be 107954. Original floor and trunk pans. No ROT. Original hub caps included. No radio installed. All gauges work except for the clock. Now for a list of the new items. New Top New Power Top hydraulics All new interior Front and Rear seat skins, Door Panels (Factory OEM) New Fuel Tank New Radiator New Brake lines New Emblems New Radiator and reservoir New Riddler Polished Aluminum Wheels New Tires Brand New Paint New Carpet New Rear Air Shocks New front suspension New Brakes New Trunk Mat New Windshield Note: I will update with more pictures and description within the next 2 days. I wanted to get this posted before the weekend. On Sep-24-11 at 05:10:24 PDT, seller added the following information: Thank you for the questions, The car apparently had AC at one time but it does Not now. The compressor and brackets, and some of the hoses are missing. The car starts and drives great very smooth and shifts great and the engine stays cool. It drives straight and stops straight. No smoke or leaks. I was told the engine and trans were rebuilt but can not prove that, but it has some great power. I say there is no rust but there could be some on the back of the front bumper since that is original and wasn't replaced. There was no bondo that I saw when it was sent to the paint shop and none was put on the car. Also the frame is excellent with no rust. Few more new items. New trunk seals. New pillar seals. New glass/top seals. New oem rear view mirror. New dual horns. I was told a New Holley Carburator but can't verify. Couple items that are not perfect. The dash has a few cracks. The speedometer works great but is off by 20 mph I believe due to incorrect speedometer gear in the trans. The fuel gauge works but the needle goes up half way when full. This is probably just the sending unit in the tank. The previous owner was going to turn this skylark into a drag car (before I saved it) so he cut a small square (size of a hand) in the trunk for a battery or fuel cell? it's flush with the new fuel tank so I never had it fixed/covered. I will post pictures today. This is the original trunk with no rust. There are also 4-5 pin head size holes on the left upper back of the car. I was told when the car was being chemically cleaned before it was painted there must have been small amounts of rust and they didn't patch it since I told them I didn't want bondo or filler on the car. All the windows and quarter window work great and seal except the passenger rear window need slight pressure on the front while rolling up. The Paint code is Red metallic Sherwin Williams 51801. Please email me if you would like to see in person. Thank you.
