Vehicle Detail

I bought this MG from an elderly couple in Kalamazoo earliar this summer. They has babied it since 2005 when they bought it for $5900 and then proceeded to put around 6K of mechanical work into the MG ( I have all their purchase and maintenance receipts ) Only reason they sold it was because the husband's health was declining and they werent using it anymore. Mechanically the MG needs nothing. It runs and drivers excellent. Shifts smooths, has good exceleration, idles smooth (after warming up : ) ) breaks without pulling and runs very good even at higher speeds. I took it for a 45 mile cruise yesterday on some back roads. Hits 70 mph with ease. I put a new rear muffler on it and new speakers in it. Newer tires and the breaks seem to be fine. Mechanicall like i said this car is as good as it gets. The body has minimal rust compared to most other MG's ive seen and the underbody if very clean with almost no rust. It appears that the car has been repainted from its original blue to an orangish red. there is a crack on the drivers side door about 1 1/2 inch where the mirror is located and one starting on the passenger door. I guess this is a common problem with these cars. The interior is nice but by no means show room condition. There is a few chips and cracks in the dashboard which was also a common problem and the center council has black tape on it. The top is new and also comes with a tonnua cover and a full cover that you can drive the car into. I have listed a minimum bid but there is no reserve so the winning bidder will take the car. I also have the MG for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. Overall this is a great well kept MGB that needs nothing at all mechanically and only small amounts of body and interior work would need to be done to it to make it a real head turner or collectable. email me with any other questions john.d.mcneil@gmail.com
