Vehicle Detail

This was owned by the original purchaser from 1964 until 2009 when it was bought by a neighbor. The neighbor never titled the car until I agreed to purchase it in January 2010. The car was bought new in New York while the original owner was in the service. The parking sticker from 1964 is still on the front bumper and is readable. The car spent most of its life in Oklahoma until I bought it. I have the original order form dated March 17, 1964 from the dealership showing options, price etc. I also have the original owner's manual and the Ident-O-Plate. The keys even have the number knock-outs intact. The mileage listed is what is on the speedometer currently. The title is mileage exempt due to the age of the car. It may be the correct mileage, but I can't say for sure. The car was repainted by the owner about 20 years ago with some repair to the rear lower driver's side fender. I don't know if any other work was done, but block sanding and new paint would make this a really outsatnding car. The frame looks very good. The floor pans are solid except for a small section under the rear seat. Trunk appears solid also. The interior looks original except for the carpet and steering wheel. There are a couple tears at the seams on the driver's seat bottom. The headliner is intact, but has a hole above the sun visor and is a little loose at the rear sail panels. All chrome and stainless (with the exception of the rear bumber which should be rechromed) is nice. The car drives nicely and has new tires. The carb was rebuilt recently, but still needs some adjustment for cold start. The 326 engine has a minor lifter tick, but really runs well. Everything works on the car including the original radio. This car also has the desirable and original spinner hubcaps. Fell free to contact me if you have any questions or want to see the car.On Sep-14-11 at 06:44:01 PDT, seller added the following information: Should note that the stainless around the right rear wheel o[pening is shiny, but has a scrape. The body is not damaged, but the stainless has that defect. Also, the chrome between the rear lights has some light pitting...most all 64s have the same problem, but I thought I should point it out. Still not bad for a 47 year old car.On Sep-19-11 at 11:56:05 PDT, seller added the following information: The reserve will be met by the next bidder.
