You're bidding on a 1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse. This car does NOT currently run. The radiator busted and it overheated about a week ago. When you turn the key it acts like it's going to start but it never turns over. It has not been inspected by a mechanic nor do I have the qualifications to tell you what is wrong with it. It may be a simple fix, it may need a new engine. I don't know. We replaced the radiator with a new one as well as new spark plugs a few days ago. These are brand new as the car hasn't ran since they were installed. A new battery and rebuilt alternator were installed in April 2011. I had four new tires put on in July and they have had less than 2,300 miles put on them. I have a receipt for the battery as well as the tires. I haven't had any issues with the transmission. I also put on new trunk struts about 2 months ago. I've had this car for about a year now. I don't know how many previous owners it had or any accidents it may or may not have been involved in. So I can only tell you about how it operated in the time I've had it. When the car was running it ran pretty good. No weird noises or jerkiness. It was a smooth ride and good on gas. I used it to commute from work and school and I've put over 20,000 miles on it since I've had it. It's been a good little car that got me where I needed to go. Cosmetically, she needs some work. You can see this in the pictures. The car looked like this when I bought it. The seats and carpet are in okay shape. They probably need to be steam cleaned. The paint is faded really bad on the hood and back hatch. There are places on the body, mostly the doors, where the gloss coat is coming off. The handles on the doors don't match. The lock on the drivers side doesn't work and the panel is a little beat up. I lost my car key a few months ago and we had to take the lock off to get another key made. The lock is back in the door but obviously not connected correctly. On the plus side, if you win this auction you get the three keys we had made for it. So you'll always have extras. There's a pretty large rusted through spot on the underside of the car on the drivers side, which you can see in the pictures. The CD player works. Heat runs hot. Air conditioning is cold (although it may need to be charged since I've ran it all summer long). All the lights and signals work. The sunroof and windows all work. The cigarette lighter doesn't work. The glovebox falls all the way down when you open it, although this is probably a quick fix. I've never wrecked it so I'm not sure if the car has airbags. I reserve the right to end this auction early. This car is being sold AS IS with no warrantee stated or implied. If you win this auction it is solely your responsibility to pick up the car, which will have to be towed away since it doesn't run. I have the clear title in hand and we will go to the Clerk's office to transfer the title before you leave with the car. You are required to pay a $200 deposit via Paypal within 24 hours of auction's end. The remaining balance is to be paid within 7 days of auction's end.
