1978 Mercedes Benz 450 SL Convertible - only 43,135 miles, clean as new inside and out. This Mercedes Benz is a local dealer trade in vehicle - i was told this Mercedes has always been an Indiana owned and driven vehicle, she was sold new in Lafayette Indiana, she appears to have been garage kept and very well taken care of - she is extremely nice. We do have the original owners manuals, the original warranty booklets, a few service records, and the original warranty identification card (a stamped metal identification card from the Mercedes dealership in 1978). The mileage was represented to us as being actual at 43,135 miles and does show on the speedometer (see odometer picture), however the title shows exempt due to the age of the vehicle -(indiana exempts mileage on all vehicles over 20 years old). Silver exterior with a matching removable hard top, a black convertible soft top, Red leather interior, matching accent stripes, sport wheels, Michelin all season tires. Fully serviced, inspected, and road tested, all power options are in good working order, the air conditioning is nice and cold, this Mercedes 450 SL appears to be mechanically sound ..... however - we are selling as is - simply due to the age. Clean as new inside and out, the paint shines just like new - a few very minor bug type chips - but very very minor, the hard top is in excellant condition, the soft top is in very good condition with the exception of a small tear - about 5" long right near the seam on the driver's side (appears it could be sewn - see picture), the interior is just like new - the dash - the door panels - the seats and carpets - all just like new, the sport wheels are in excellant condition, and the tires are Michelin tires and ready for the road. I do not know alot about Mercedes, but this one is super nice, super clean, and drives and handles as good as she looks. Offered for sale on Ebay, the internet, and off our sales lot, therefore we do have a buy it now price for the "ready to buy" or the auction style bidding for those wishing to bid. We do collect 7% sales tax that is credited to the buyers home state - you are not taxed twice, any and all tax collected is credited back to the buyer's state.
