After months of deliberation, I've decided to sell my 2000 Isuzu Vehicross in Proton Yellow. I purchased it from the original owner I bought it as a 2nd vehicle to drive when it snowed in Colorado to save my Mazdaspeed Miata from a certain death. I purchased it sight unseen from the 1st owner who had wanted to get a lighter car (old-style Beetle) to haul in his enclosed workshop, behind his RV. I recently moved within 5 minutes of my office, so the need for an AWD back-up disappeared. I only put about 3 k miles on the first year and about 100 miles on it the past 6-months since moving. The 3 k miles per year would have been fine for the VX, but less than 500 miles a year I'm afraid would not be good to just sit. The 1st owner (Larry) put an Amsoil oil recirculation system on the car when it had 60 miles on it and has run Amsoil in the car ever since. It does not burn, use, or leak any fluids. I put new Amsoil in about 500 miles ago. It now has a bit over 81k on it. There are no issues with anything mechanical or cosmetic. The CD works fine, the windows work fine, the interior is excellent, as is the cladding, and paint. The tires are apx. 40-50%, but are wearing evenly. Other than down the road needing tires, the car needs nothing. Although Larry added a lot of features that are great for off-roading, the car has never seen any serious off-roading. Over the years, Larry did some neat and tasteful modifications. The Amsoil oil recirculation system which is mainly a large oil filter to supplement the car's original filtration system, front & rear class three hitches, both are wired for a remote winch, front lock-out hubs so you can free-wheel in 2wd, rear back-up camera with audio warning beeps and voice, CB radio, custom rear bumper that inserts into the rear hitch and does not rattle or vibrate, but protects the rear section well, it looks great, rear air bags and compressor, but that is shut off right now as one bag broke when Costco was rotating the tires. The bags run about $ 75. I never towed anything heavier than a motorcycle trailer, so I didn't worry about replacing them. It has a custom hitch basket apx. 3' x 5' that is great for putting bulky things in when going camping that I'll sell for $ 100. as it would be hard to ship with the car, or include it if you do the "buy it now". If you do the "buy it now" and don't want the basket, I'll deduct $ 100. I have the original roof rack in boxes and it is in excellent condition, it has an rv style (folding) cupholder mounted on each door, I have a pristine extra factory tire & rim, the others are in excellent condition too. There's an aluminum tissue box holder mounted on the headliner, and I have a new Plaque that says "VX" un-mounted , to replace the "Jesus" plaque on the front grill. I'm sure I forgot a bunch of stuff, but that's a good start. I was given all the maintenance records from new. I'm posting a few photos, but have a file of about 35 that I can forward to those interested. I bought and paid for this car sight unseen after talking extensively with the original owner and had no surprises or disappointments when I flew into Phoenix to pick it up. It is in the same condition today as it was 18 months ago when I bought it. I encourage anyone interested to either reply to the post or call me at (719) 210-9050 up to 10 pm MST. I apologize for the extra long post, but I felt all the information above was important. I've done a lot of research to see what the current market is like and see pricing all over the board. I sell new BMW's for a living and really don't want to go through a long haggling session so I'm pricing it at $ 9,500 which based on the mileage and condition is very fair. . .even if the additions were not there. I will be driving the VX this weekend, so the mileage may be a little higher (I tried to compensate for that in the listed mileage), but it will still be under 82k.
