this listing is for an anniversery edition 1999 miata mx-5(see the history report for more details). has 5 speed manual transmission , convertible top , driver and passenger side airbags , power windows . don't think this is the sport package , everything should be evident in the pictures . this car belonged to my brother (he passed away recently) . we decided that we didn't want to keep it because it is too small for us . the car is in very good condition , it runs very well and everything works as it should . we drove the car for about four months until the insurance policy lapsed (beginning of july). we put 2 new tires on and had a wheel alignment done. as with any used car there are a few dents and dings and malfuntions - there is a minor vibration that begins at 60 mph that a mechanic suggested may be due to hardened engine mounts (it does not affect safety or performance just an inconvenience). the battery light (alternator light) comes on after the car has been running for a few minutes with the lights on . the voltage reads normal 13.8v and the battery charges fully . the alternator may have a short (after sitting without being run for about a month the battery loses its charge) . there is a small hole in the front bumper (pictured) . there are some paint cracks and chips on the front bumper (pictured) . the top needs to be replaced , it is old and lost its flexibility. we have kept the top up to minimize stress to the fabric . it does not leak. we repaired a small tear (pictured) , seat has worn spot (pictured) , hood has paint blemish spot from corrosive spill(pictured), and we have also kept the car covered (pictured). right talil light lens has been patched with glue (pictured). please contact us by phone or email if you have questions . you can come and see the car if you are so interested . we can not let the car be driven because we do not have a plate for it or insurance . sorry .
