Vehicle Detail
1984 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 H.O. 5.0 This is a very very rare Z/28 , with a limited production with Contour (See pictures) racing seats that were factory installed. This car could be an IROC I'm not sure on how to tell them apart. The word CAMARO is embroidered 38 time on the seats and door panels These seats have the LUMBART support adjustment, Side wing adjustments Lower leg and side adjustment, forward/reverse adjustment and has a lower leg support adjustment (See pictures). I never seen a car of this age with all of this type of adjustments for the driver only. Only 1,200 made !!! What a ride and what a rush As you can see in the pictures, the vehicle is in very good condition showing very minimal wear for it's age. The interior drivers seat has some wear from get in and out of the car and driving of course. I never had an alignment done to this vehicle and the strut towers show the original location of the strut bolts were never moved!!! The vehicle still drives straight!! So if you have a tast for something that HOT, get a Z28. You’ll find it hotter then Texas chili. Simmering shape: The Z28 looks as quick as it goes. Sleek curving lines and a 62-degree raked windshild help provide a low drag coefficient of only .339. And Z28’s deep front air dam helps reduce noise lift while aiding steering response. This car has the following factory options also: A/C (Needs more freon because it did work this spring) Power breaks Power windows Power steering T-Top (with storge case for the glass top when removed) Optional: full instrument cluster with tach. All of the following specs. below is from the GM proving grounds. Engine: Suspension: Small Block 5.0 Liter (305 CID) Front : Indep., Modified McPherson Struts Caburation 4-Bbl Quadrajet 32 mm Stabilizer Bar Comp. Ratio 10.4 with ele. Spark control BHP 210. @ 4800 RPM Torque 245 ft. @ 3200 RPM Rear: Two lower Control Arms 23 mm Stabilizer Bar Brakes: Transmission: Front Disc/ Rear Drum Automatic: 3 speed with overdrive Power Breaks Tires: Performance: P215-65R-15 high Performance, Acceleration: 0 – 60 in 6.8 Sec Steel belted GT (Just like new yet) ¼ mile 14.8 Sec Breaking 70 – 0 MPH 194 ft. Sound system: AM/FM cassette radio with 4 speakers from factory (One knob is loose on radio only) 12 CD player with remote control ( See pictures) (Located out of site in the rear grove box under lock and key) History: I have owned this vehicle for only 2 years. She had 99786 miles on her when I bought her at an estate action in 2010. It now just turn over to 101183.This vehicle has never seen a winter or any inclement weather. When I bought the car in 2010 it was parked in the grange from 1998 to 2010.While I had this car it was always in my two car garage with my 1959 chevy Impala. I did drive the car this year and had a lot of fun with it. Why am I selling this very fine car? I am 72 years old now and have a heck of a time getting in the car and out.. This past year, I completely went through the car mechanically so I can enjoy it again this past summer. I replaced the all of the weather seals for the T top and doors so there are no leaks in the doors or T top. The vehicle runs and drives like the day it was new!!! Now the bad news The drivers seat: It has some wear and tear due to the driver getting in and out. Not real bad, but does need to be fixed, repaired or replaced (Seat cover that is) (If you win I will give you the name of the company that still was the correct material with CAMARO on it.) The headliner is coming loose due to the wind when the T –Top was off. Some glue and some TLC to repair. A few nicks in the new paint job, but you have to look for them so see them. NOT MANY OR LARGE NICKS!!!! One small crack in the right front ground effect molding (See picture). This car is all original except for the radio One small rust area that I know about is by the left front mirror (See picture) I think the winning bidder will not be disappointed with the condition of this 26 year old Z/28, as this vehicle will only increase in value every year. I encourage everyone to view the vehicle very close before bidding. The vehicle can be driven to anywhere in the USA as is. The closest air port to my house is about and hour away in Eau Claire Wis.. Any questions, please call me at 715-447-8687, but please don't ask about my reserve price. The car is for sale only in the USA, and is for sale locally. On Sep-06-11 at 17:53:42 PDT, seller added the following information: This car also has the Eaton posi rear end with 3.55 - 1 gears. I also forgot to mention she has a tilt steering post with leather rapped steering wheel. She also has cruse control that still works.
