1969 Chevelle SS 396/325hp 4spdPro-Touring / Retro This is a very clean and solid SS Chevelle. All original body panels with clean solid original floors and trunk pan. Originally code 52 "Garnet red" car now painted corvette torch red with correct black SS vinyl stripes. New bumpers, tail lamps, rear trim, door handles, hood grilles, side and rear emblems, exhaust tips, wheel well mouldings and front grille assembly. The"SS-396" grille emblem is the original along with the SS dash bar. The interior is the 756 black vinyl "bucket seat" trim code in very nice condition and complete.The detailed engine is an earlier dated 396/325hp "Chevelle suffix" SS block with the correct 325hp cast iron intake topped with a 4150 Holley double pumper carb, Erson mild high performance camshaft with a noticable "choppy idle" sounds great while breathing through period correct exhaust manifolds, aluminumized pipes and glass packs. The transmission is a Muncie 4speed with a Hurst competition shifter and new clutch components. This car was born automatic with a console and retains the original T400 kickdown wire harness in the firewall, gas pedal switch and console brackets.The rear is the correct 12 bolt posi with fresh set of Richmond 3:73 gears, clutches and bearings. Power front disc brakes with all the correct SS factory components. Power steering with the correct SS steering box and shaft assembly. Equipped with a Monster tach with shift light and Pioneer super tuner AM/FM CD stereo with 4 speakers.The wheels are all 17 inch American Racing polished "Torque Thrust D" rims with new low profile high performance tires, complimenting the slightly lowered suspension. This car has been very tastefully built, is very reliable and drives outstanding with no leaks. Many, many new parts have been installed throughout this car and would be far too much to list. Like many big block Chevelles this car spent time being raced in its early years and has been stored for many years before being reconditioned. This is a super solid car which gets driven to shows and very much enjoyed at the present time. Being a 42 year old vehicle this car is being sold in "as is condition" and does have minor flaws.
