Vehicle Detail
This is a 1966 Ford Galaxie, 2dr Hardtop Automatic, with a 390 Engine. The 1966 Galaxie happens to be one of Jay Leno's favorite. The interior is original. The car seems to have been repainted, comes with Weld racing wheels, this is not a drag car, it is more of a cruiser right now. I do not have documentation of the mileage, the gauge no longer works. Does come with a Texas Title. BODY: It is not perfect by anymeans, but for the most part it is in fair shape. There are various little dings on the car but nothing major, dings in various areas, you can see them in the pictures. The chrome and stainless are original, and are in fair shape, but if you were to restore it, you would want to have things polished and rechromed. The doors shut ok, as well as the hood and trunklid. There are some small surface rust spots at the bottom of the rear quarter panel, and other various areas. UNDERCARRIAGE: The frame on the car is solid. The floor boards are in good shape. No signs of rust. The trunk does have some rust in areas. INTERIOR is in decent shape for its age. The interior is original, The seats are in good shape for being original. The dash pad is in good condition, as well as the headliner, and carpet. The headliner is in very good shape. The speedometer, radio, and clock do not work. MECHANICALS: The engine is a Ford 390 V8, it starts right up, car sounds pretty nice, but engine will probably need to be rebuilt in the future. Car is usually driven around 2-3 times a week. It has good throttle response and the transmission shifts good. As time allows for the new owner, it would be a good idea to replace and upgrades things as you own it.
