Vehicle Detail
We have almost 60 pictures of this car. If you need to see more e-mail us with your personal e-mail address, cannot send via Ebay. If you have specific questions please ask. We don't mind doing the leg work to make this a smooth transition. Up for sale is one 1931 Ford rumble seat Coupe in good condition with a clear VA title, this is not a parts car This is a very complete car that obviously needs some work. The body is straight and the fenders, bumpers, rims and running boards are in good condition, as you can see in the pictures. The roof insert and wood look good and the interior is fair.(see pics) One window is cracked and the rest of glass is good. Late 1931 Model A per firewall indent. There is one spot behind the driver's side door that has some sort of home grown repair and possibly a brush paint job. This is a real car that was driven by folks that used it for transportation. This car was found tucked away in a garage (not a barn) many years ago.And then sold to the previous owner here in town and stored (in a garage) until we purchased the car a month or so ago. It is currently being stored inside. We have made no attempt to shine the paint up or even wipe the dust off really. We wanted to represent the car as we found it, a car that needs some work, not as a show piece. There is some minor rust in floor and some minor rust in rear wheel wells in the usual spots. The previous owner had the car running and decided that the carburetor needed rebuilt. The carburetor was removed and shipped away to be rebuilt. Unfortunately he passed away before the carburetor rebuild could be paid for, received or installed. We have not run the engine at all and it has been about 18 months since it has run.The transmission moves though the gears just fine and the brakes stop well while moving it from place to place. Again, we have not driven the car. All of our assessments are based on moving the car around, but not under it's own power. This is a very restorable car. It is a good candidate for hot rodding as well. It is also a good candidate for resale. We are aware that it would be more valuable in running order, which would be fairly simple, thus the low reserve. Restore it, Rod it or Flip it-it's up to you. This car came with many new, used and NOS parts when we bought it. Please see our other auctions if you are interested in those parts. Those parts are not included with this auction, just what you see pictured. We will assist with shipping, but the arrangements will be between the carrier and the new owner.
