Up for auction is a 1997 Audi A4 Quattro with a V6 engine and a five speed manual transmission. I do not know much about the car as I just bought it intending to repair it and use it as a family vehicle but have since decided to go with a larger vehicle that will pull a trailer. The person that I bought the car from said that it had been sitting for around 2 years. They parked it because they believed that the clutch had gone bad and that it was too costly to repair it. While it sat it got flooded up in the floorboards but to the best of my knowledge did not get into the the electronics or engine. After being flooded, it sat for the second year closed up. I bought it and installed a new battery for over $100. The engine started right up and ran very well. I put the car on a lift and realized that one of the front CV axles was broke so I replaced both of them for another $450. Both front seats were heated and at some point the driver seat over heated and burnt the seat. also with the water that got in the car at the time of the flooding and with the car being closed up, the rest of the leather has deteriorated. The car needs new seats. I took all of the seats and carpet out and shampooed and pressure washed it. put the carpet back in. the seats are still out of the vehicle. I did drive the car about 1/2 mile but the tires are in such bad shape that I couldn't get over 15mph so I do not know about the condition of the clutch but it did feel nice as much as I could test it and it didn't slip. I have a new fuel filter and oil filter to go with it. The car will not start right now I believe that it needs the tank drained and the fuel filter replaced. I did hear the engine run when I first started with it and it did run good. I know that the car needs: Seats Tires Service Front ball joints I know the car has new Battery Front CV Axles Fuel Filter (not installed) Oil Filter (not installed) That's about all I need. The vehicle is over all in good shape but I am selling it for parts or to someone that wants an expensive car for a really cheap price and a little work. Feel free to ask me if you have any questions
