1936 CHEVROLET COUPE...3 SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION with overdrive BRILLANT BURGANDY PAINT ON THE BODY with black cherry fenders CRYSTAL CLEAR GLASS…CLEAN INTERIOR MILEAGE: 93958 the day I took the pictures, July 27, 2011. : HISTORY: I can not document anything, I'm just listing the car as I see it from inspecting and driving. Past owner said the car came from California and restored here by a father and son, the car had all original panels, all the would was replaced. I am a 65 year old restorer/mechanic/auto instructorand just listing as I see and beleive things to be be. I'm listing this car for my friend Danny Pryor. TITLE: Clear title in hand. IS THERE ANY RUST PROBLEMS? No! No rust bubbles, the underside looks good, the floors are solid and the frame and connectors good. IS THERE ANY ACCIDENT DAMAGE? None that I can find. WHY AM I SELLING THIS CAR? I’m a classic car restorer, but when I find a car I like, can sell for a fair market price and make a few bucks, I buy it fix a few things and resell. I'm helping my friend Danny Pryor sell this car, he does not know a thing about computers, "I don't know much". PAINT: The 2 tone paint is gorgeous, the dark wine colored maroon on the body and black cherry fenders look just right on this car. Very nice drive and enjoy quality paint. The paint a brillant shine and the car is very straight when you look down the sides. If you look for imprefections, you can find a couple. The hood has a very small ding/dent, its too small to show up in a picture, I also see a imprefection on the corner of the trunk, its a crack and rough place in the paint "my guess its from an old corner of the trunk repair". The paint is OK, I would be very happy to take the car to my local car show and show it to my buddies. CHROME :::: The bright work is nice, no dulling and no chrome chipping. INTEROR: No smoke smell! No real wear, no holes, no tears and it is very clean. It is a beautiful interior, the colors are just right for this car. GLASS: The glass is nice and the windows roll up and down good, no wiper marks, no bubbles or milky places. ENGINE: The engine runs strong, you can drive with modern traffic and be safe. I did not run the numbers, but the last owner said the engine was the correct fit, but out of a truck and completly rebuilt, "i believe him, it sounds and runs great. It has no blue smoke, no unwanted rattles. Its a overhead valve inline 6 cycliner with lots of chrome, dual exhaust done the right way with split cast Fenton headers. EXHAUST SYSTEM: Dual exhaust system with Fenton cast headers, it in good condition, but not new. TRANSMISSION: Nice shifting 3 speed manual, the car has overdrive that is all in place, but not working. It will still run with traffic at 65 miles per hour with no problem. REAR-END: Original rear-end that has no grinds or no growls. BRAKES: Original drum brakes that stop good. STEERING: The car drives great, it is not power steering. WHEELS AND TIRES: Very nice wire rims that are painted good with good tires on them. LIGHTS: Headlights work, tail lights work, turn signal lights work, brake lights work. This car did not come with turn signals, they have been added and are on a switch under the dash. I would put one of the coulmn mounts controls on. The emergency fashers are on a different swithch. GUAGES: The gauges all work other than the gas gauge. ELECTRICAL: The car has been converted to a 12 volt system with a alternator "this is a good thing". WIPERS WORK, but the driver side has lots of wear and less movement! Gas gauge does not work! HOW DO THE DOORS AND HOOD OPEN AND CLOSE? I think they open and close good! HOW ARE THE ALIGNMENT OF PANELS: I think they are good! These car were not perfect from the factory. TRADES: Please no trades, they never work out and are just to hard! *****PLEASE RED THIS*****The rest of the information is boring unless you are really interested in buying the car, its just buying details like shipping, paperwork, who I am, where the car is located and how to pay and contact information. CONTACT INFO: my cell is 423-506-8987, I do not answer when driving, while meeting with people, after about 8:00 PM Eastern Time or on Sunday morning or Sunday nights. Please leave a voice mail and I’ll get back. I do check my emails several times a day. I know if you have real interest you will call back just as I would. Ron Watson cell 423-506-8987 email: dreamcar@live.com PAPERWORK: I know what to do! We are just a father/son 2 man operation, but we are a Tennessee licensed/bonded car dealer and have sold cars all over the US and exported many. THIS IS NOT AN AUCTION, THIS IS A FIXED PRICE LISTING: I reserve the right to stop the listing at any time and sale the car “come look”. I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO STOP THE LISTING AT ANY TIME. THE CAR IS FOR SALE ON THE LOCAL MARKET. WHERE THE CAR IS LOCATED: The car is here at my home in Athens, Tennessee. Athens is in east Tennessee, we are 50 miles south of Knoxville. Look at a Road Atlas and follow interstate 75 south from Knoxville. I live one mile and one turn from the interstate exit. My zip code is 37303. The closest large airport is Knoxville. Athens does have a good small airport, but has no commercial flights. WHO YOU ARE BUYING FROM: My name is Ron Watson and I live in the small town of Athens, Tennessee “Athens is called the friendly city”. We are located in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains in east Tennessee. I am 65 years old and work with my son Keith who is now 39. I am now retired and living my dream restoring, selling and improving classic cars. For 12 years I was an auto mechanics instructor at Tennessee Technology Center here in Athens. I am also a veteran of the US Army; I served as a Chinook helicopter mechanic, crew chief and instructor in the late 60s, I did spend a year in Vietnam. I’m Southern Baptist faith and proud to be an American. I’ve been married to the same good woman for almost 42 years. LIFE IS GOOD IN THE GREEN HILLS OF EAST TENNESSEE! US OR EXPORT “the best”: Classic Car Transport, LLC: This is a very good company that will handle any type of transport in the US or overseas with the white glove treatment. Call Bill at 913-749-0930 Email billc@classiccartransport.com MY AREA CODE FOR TRANSPORT: The area code for Athens, Tennessee is 37303. I live 1 mile off a major interstate (I-75)and 35 miles south of interstate 40, so transport is usually very fast. PAYMENT: I require a $250 deposit for a Buy Now or to hold the car. I will take the deposit by paypal, but not full payment. Option 1: Pay the old school way face to face. Option 2: Pay by check, I will wait till the check clears, I have had a fake bank certified check. Option 3: The safest is to let our banks handle it, my bank is a member of the US Federal Reserve, this is called wire transfer. INSPECTIONS: Please come look and be happy. All inspections are required to be done before the end of the listing. I listed this car as I see it as a 64 year old car restorer, please come and judge it for your self. I judge the car to my standards, this may not be yours. Paid inspectors are unpredictable, you might get a good one, but most of them do not impress me at all, most really don’t know what to look at, they make a good car sound bad on the report. They have to be very critical to cover their back sides and all their concerned about is getting paid. I understand how hard it is to buy a car without looking, but I think you should come look yourself. I don’t like paid inspectors, I like for the person that is buying to inspect for themselves. I think its fine to send a friend to inspect for you. To make it clear, don’t hit the buy now button and then inspect, come inspect first! TRADES: Please no trades! BOTTOM LINE: My firm price is $18,600 and I am asking $21,600. The game is not rocket science, ask a price and come down. It’s not fun to bargain over the cell phone all day long with people that live 2000 miles away and are not going to buy anyway. My firm price is the Buy Now price. I have sold every car I have ever tried to, so I’m not motivated to be bargained down. PLEASE!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!! PLEASE!!!!! Come look at this vehicle. Please don’t hit the Buy Now button unless your ready to really buy it!, ebay will make you pay a $250 deposit! Do your research, call me with questions, read my feed backs, I am ebay verified; this means they say I’m a real person in a real place. I WILL BE VERY HAPPY TO SELL YOU THE VEHICLE WITH-OUT AN INSPECTION; YOU JUST HAVE TO HAVE A LOT OF NERVE AND PLEASE DON’T BE A CRY BABY. Read the ME section on the upper right hand part of the listing marked seller info. Thank You, Ron Watson cell: 423-506-8987 email: dreamcar@live.com IS THERE A WARRANTY? No!
