Vehicle Detail
Beautiful 1966 Chrysler 300 Convertible with all the options. I have had this car for more then 25 years and enjoyed every minute. We are downsizing and it is time to get rid of a few of my vehicles. This is 1 of 2500 built. It is a 383 4 barrel console car with vac guage that puts out 325HP. Air Conditioning, Power Windows, Power Brakes (drum), Power Drivers Seat, Power Top, Power Antenna, Vacume Trunk Release, Tilt and Telescoping Wheel, Console with Vacume Guage and rear seat lighter. I even have a pristine set of the optional Spinner Wheel Covers that were made for this one year only plus the original factory hubcaps that I use for weekend driving. The car is all original but everything has been rebuilt. New engine rebuild that includes all of the bolt ons (water pump, fuel pump, alternator, etc..), rebuilt transmission, rebuilt rear end including all bearings, new brake booster and master cylinder (dual reservoir), new brakes and lines, new carpets, new top, new well, new front end, new KYB shocks, new whitewalls including spare, new trunk carpet and I have the new vinyl trunk pad as well, new glove box liner, new gas tank and pick-up, new windshield, recored radiator, relatively new paint, etc.. All of the rubber seals have been replaced - door seals, roof rails, trunk seals, hood to cowl seal, splash shields, window weather stripping and cat whiskers. I removed all loose undercoating and replaced with new spray on. All exposed frame elements were sprayed with POR15. Soundproofing was placed under the carpet after floor boards were coated with POR15. The rebuild has less than 500 miles on it. The only items that are not original are the solid state regulator to keep the lights from fading when the turn signals are on and I changed to a dual Master Cylander so that this boat would stop if there were any problems with the brake lines. This car is a head turner, but it is a driver and there are some things still to do. The rear bumper has surface rust and needs to be rechromed. One of the window motors is dragging but I have several spares. The AC has not been recharged since the engine was put back in. There are a few paint chips. There is a new gas tank and pick up but the pick up is not reading properly (could be the ground strap). The headlight switch could use replacing since some of the dash bulbs will not light from time to time. All of the bulbs have been replaced. There is no rust and no dents or dings. I will post more pictures this weekend.
