Vehicle Detail

UPDATE @ 7:16pm 9/3, just dropped price for last time. Started it at $2499 and in my opinion it's worth every penny of that. I got a great buy on this and am passing on the savings at this price. I really can't believe it hasn't sold. It's a heck of a Wagoneer @ $1125 Buy it now. There isn't a cheaper one out there. Hi! For sale is a SUPER SUPER SUPER cool and clean CLASSIC 1982 Jeep Wagoneer Full Time 4x4. Like the Scout and Landcruiser, these are super fun old school classic 4x4 beasts. The truck is a DAILY DRIVER and runs good, drives good, and shifts good. The truck appears to have never even been smoked in- lighter NEVER used!!! The brakes work good and heater works good. Lights and wipers work as well. Has power locks, air conditioning, and cruise control. Also has a CD player, power rear window, power brakes and steering. I bought it from a very nice and conservative guy who took VERY good care of this rig. He said that it was restored with new rockers and some other work some time ago (I would guess at least 4 or 5 years ago). The trucks gauges work and read well. The temp gauge stays good, as does the oil gauge (reads around 10-15psi, maybe lower at times or higher- this is the avg). I drove it 80 miles home NO problem. It drove just as smooth as my Camry. No shimmy, vibrations, noises, pulling, etc. Just flat out SMOOTH. Lot's of power.Very little smoke if any on start up. No leaks anywhere in the garage overnight. Valve cover gaskets MAY leak a little, they are old! The oil is normal color as is the antifreeze. Seems like the truck is just a heck of a good truck all the way around. Very solid. Very good body. Drives very good. Remember its a 1982, so as I describe it, I compare it to what I would expect for a 1982, not a 2011 (see disclaimers!). OK- Here are the negatives- Enhgine sounds great and normal but sounds like there is a small exhaust leak- expected for this age, and it is a 1982 so it is a little cold blooded when started but it always stays running and runs strong. The air conditioning does not work and have no idea why. The cruise doesn't work and neither does the radio/CD player (it just needs hooked up I believe), I have no idea why either. The speakers were taken out of the Jeep at some time. The front two tires need replaced. They are 15 inch tires. They are safe to drive on but are worn and need replaced soon. The truck does have rust on it here or there, not much, and FAR FAR FAR less than any truck around here, but there is some, and so expect some!!!! Headliner has lots of rips on the front end of the cab. There is probably bondo here or there to smooth spots out, but not any to fill holes I don't believe. The color was originally blue and so door jambs etc are still blue. The white isn't bright and shiney either- no surprise, it looked like a fun restore! Again, this is a older restoration, and the body is holding strong, so I guess only very low bondo due to the condition. I did not do any touch up on this so what you see is what you get!!! Last thing is that the rear window didn't work once for me until I opened and shut the tailgate again, and it worked and works now, so must have been a loose connection. By the way included EXTRA in the sale is a right front fender (the one on it has a small crease) as well as the original front bench seat, as well as a Chiltons manual. The 3 inch lift by the way makes it look great! Good luck. Here are the disclaimers: TERMS AND CONDITIONS I consider myself a nice, respectful, and friendly person, and I like dealing with people who are also nice, honest, and respectful. For the sake of making it very easy for everyone to understand, I have these TERMS AND CONDITIONS: 1. This is an auction. This is sold "As Is". No Warranty. No exceptions. You understand that there is no recourse for future repairs, or any consideration to be made for current problems/issues with car disclosed or not. By bidding on this auction, you agree to these terms with no questions asked, no exceptions, no matter the case. 2. Statements and description of the vehicle are made by the opinion of the seller. Your bid on this auction reflects your opinion of the vehicle, not mine. It is a given that every vehicle I sell will have some rust (either surface rust or otherwise on frame, body, or somewhere because even West Coast cars have rust too), scratches, dents, dings, smells, stains, etc that you get with any used car. It is a used car, so expect wear and tear on the car in all of these areas. Read the description and look at the pics, but remember, they don't capture every detail. 3. You understand that at time of pickup, there will not be a "test drive" period before payment or final payment. You may verify the vehicle and the VIN and the title to ensure it is the vehicle you purchased. Any "inspections" must take place before you win the vehicle, not after. 4. All are welcome to test drive, inspect, and look at the vehicle, and ask questions via email or phone call before you bid on the vehicle. 5. The sellers responsibility begins and ends with providing the vehicle shown and displayed in the auction with a legal and clear title for the vehicle. 6. The description is simply based on the opinion of the seller, and once again, all bids must be placed based on the bidders opinion of the vehicle. 7. The definition of "hold harmless" is in effect on all of my auctions. By bidding you forfeit any rights to legal action or threats of any sort. I will not deal and I refuse to deal with people who sue (I never have sued, or ever threatened to sue and have never been sued). Again, by bidding and/or winning this auction you understand that there is NO legal recourse available to you for any reason on this auction, other than the promise that I make in providing the make and model car with VIN (and clear and legal title) advertised in this auction. 8. Shipping is the buyers responsibility. Vehicle to be picked up within 2 weeks, but exceptions can be made. Just call me to let me know what is going on. We will do our best to work with your shipper. I also may be able to pick you up at the airport. Sioux City is very easy and Omaha is a more difficult. Either way, this is a case by case basis. Please call. 9. $500 Non-Refundable Deposit Due within 24 hours via Paypal or cash. Full amount of vehicle due within 7 days of auction end, or at vehicle pickup, whichever comes first. I will accept a cashiers check, money order, cash, or a wire transfer for the balance. No exceptions unless approved before you bid. Please call. 10. $119 Doc/Delivery/Prep Fee on Every Sale. On most vehicles, we spend an average of 4-8 hours on it either cleaning/detailing, and or appraising the car for the description. In addition, after the sale but before you get it, we spend a lot of time working with your shipper to ensure a smooth delivery. You are responsible for the tax title license and any fees your state requires. 11. I reserve the right to end the auction at any time, to sell to anyone, for any reason. 20+ Years Experience Buying/Selling/Appraising Vehicles. I love this business and have always understood what makes a good car from a bad one, and literally look at between 1500-2000 cars per week in trying to find one's that are great buys, and still have good qualities. Most of them I buy based on the owner, not the car. If the owner is careless or if they are a jerk, I almost always pass. If they are friendly and seemed to have cared for the car, I'll buy it. By buying cars based on people- and not just the vehicle itself, I have honestly had tremendous success by avoiding major repairs, surprises, etc. Also- regardless of flaws, if a car has a good engine and transmission, they are usually good buys also. I tend to find cars that are excellent at the core, as I am not the type of dealer who buys them half running and poorly mechanical, patching it up to sell. I am the opposite, and you will not get that here. I'm like you, if I don't think it's a good runner, I pass!! You can count on my expertise in your vehicle!! Usually they are cars that I would personally like to own and would be happy to own. We take it very personal to do a great job in describing the item, the good, bad and ugly, and to treat you like we would want to be treated. We do promise to provide our best service and to do the best I can in providing the car you expect. I have sold many VW, Nissan, Suburban, Silverado, International, Jetta, Rabbit, Luv, Escort, and Golf and even Toyota diesels, and I can tell you that I know how to find a great car for the money 12 Years on Ebay!
