1980 turbo trans am indianapolis pace car I have owned this car for over 14 years and it has always been garaged kept i bought it from the original owner who also kept it garaged when he purchased it new in 80 he had it totaly Zeibart rust proofed , there is no rust on this car anywhere other than surface on some drivetrain hardware and the exhaust system it is absolutely solid , the only modifications to the car are ( by the first owner ) energy suspension bushings , CD player and air assist shocks in the rear , i do have the original radio for it in perfect shape, all the guages work as does the turbo boost in the cowl . the power locks trunk all work as do the power windows , the car runs extreamly well makes full boost at about half throttle pulls strong for such a heavy car but it also drinks the gas 13mpg if you drive it easy it came with 4 wheel disk brakes and some sort of handling package stock but i have nothing to compair it to say if it is any better or not it is a pretty quiet car as in not really any rattles or noises the T top seals are perfect and soft and leak free. the outside window rubber on the doors "the scraper pieces" need to be replaced as they are detereorating but all the rest of the body gaskets and window rubber are fine. the tires are due to be changed 50% life but they are just getting hard , the power antenna stoped working a few years ago ( stuck in the up position). the rear left spoiler corner piece must have been replaced at one time as the paint on it is a bit off from the rest of the car and the paint on it partially came off one time with the power sprayer , the radiator overflow tank is cracked i never got around to replacing it . the dash is perfect no warping cracks or fading the interior is a 8 out of a10 needs to be cleaned more than anything , the trunk still has the original space saver spare with the air cartridge and the original T Top bags . the power stearing , radiator ,trans, rearend fluids were changed last year the air conditioning stoped blowing cold this year it is still filled with the R12 and more than likely needs another can added ( it starts out cold then just gets warmer and warmer after time ) i am trying to list every posible thing i can think of that might be wrong with this car. all in all it is in great shape it does have nicks ding and scratches as the car is 30 years old i personally have no problem trusting this car to go anywhere as when we do drive it we will go on pretty long trips but because of the age i cant really give it any sort of warranty. it has never been in any accidents "there is no spiderwebbing" of the paint on the bumpers and all the decals are pretty fair shape look the photos over it is in pretty nice shape for a original unrestored car and bid accordingly thanks for looking
