Vehicle Detail
1971 Blazer with period correct pickup top, making a Blazer Half Cab, 4X4, power steering, power brakes,A/C, 350-V-8 with a turbo 350 automatic. This truck has a lot of character and potential. Odometer shows 2400 so it must be 124k because she is tight for a 40 year old 4X4.It goes in and out of four by like it should. Has 3.73 gears front and back. I used my last two cans of R-12 and the A/C blew cold for 6-8 months but needs leak fixed and recharged. Nice under the hood just needs stock air cleaner to look right. I put a kit in the carb but if it sits for a few days you have to prime the carb to get it to start, must be leaking down somewhere. There is a pickup cab grafted/welded to the Blazer making a ultra short bed or half cab (kinda like the early Broncos) this can't be removed. The front and side of the cab looks great, in the bed though their pattern was off they left a 1/4 or better gap down towards the bottom. This allowed water and crap to leak into the cab for years, so both sides of the floor pans need to be replace and the panel just below and behind the doors. Everything else is N.M. solid. I do not see any old body work on this truck. The left rear qtr by the tail light has a small dent. The glass is good, the doors shut great. It has a spring lift off of a new chevy because the front springs ar too long. I made longer shackles out of flat strap and it works fine. The back blocks have u bolts that are way too long and need to be cut or changed. I didn't mess with it because I was going to go all spring and higher. The stock radio location was cut out but there is no speaker holes in doors or kick panels. The lights work and actually drives down the road really well. The tires are just rollers and hold air. I would not drive it home unless you are close. This would be one unique and cool truck if the body and paint was done. You won't see one on the road when you are driving it! I have this and my 77 Chevy and 1967 Chevelle dirt car for sale. Only because a 1969 Camaro restoration is kicking me in the pocket book, soon it will be on here to. Truck is for sale locally so it could be pulled early. Please bid and follow through the transaction.
