Vehicle Detail
Hello, I bought this in the hope of turning it into an Eleanor, I don’t have the time for it anymore, due to work hours and location changed. I have a few parts to go along with the sale: 2 bumper covers, 1 original, the other is custom fiberglass Eleanor type with lower fog light mounts. (No Fog lights) Bumper, shock pads 1 radiator support top cover 1 grill that has the openings for fog lights in the middle. (No Fog lights) 2 fiberglass fenders with side vents 1 radiator 1 AC coil 1 passenger door 1 duck tail deck spoiler 2 fender badges 2 used tail mufflers I started working on the passenger quarter panel, and as you can see I replaced the passenger door, the interior of the car is complete all panels are in the car. The lines between the panels on the passenger side are not lined up perfect as of yet because it still needs work. The b-pillar is still a little bent; I had pushed it out but still needs a bit more. It lines up pretty good with the door, but could be a bit more. The q-panel was wacked, but starting to take shape after working on it. The windshield will need to be replaced. I removed the passenger side quarter panel window while working on the panel and taped it back in but with the heat from the last few weeks it fell out and broke so that will need to be replaced. The rest of the car panels are in good shape, apart from a few little dings and bumps. I also have the original side skirts that came off the car. The hood will need to be replaced. The underside of the car is like new, nothing from the bent front rail back seems to be wrong, but I have not put it on a frame machine to check it. There is nothing wrong with the engine drivetrain itself from what I can see. I have not started it, but with 14,500 miles on it one would guess that it runs. I replaced the front struts and installed the Shelby tie rod ends added a Koni Pro lowering kit springs to complete the front but didn’t install them on the rear as of yet. The car is movable but not drivable. The pictures show it as it is when I stopped working on it. You could part it out or clone another mustang with what there is. The tires you see in the photo go with the car and are current back on the car to move it. That is everything I can think of for the car it’s a good project for someone who has the time. The car is a true Shelby GT the registry number is (CSM 07SGT1428) for those who want to check. The starting price is far below what I paid for the car and the parts will be my loss and your gain!!!!! It will need to be trailer or shipped to its final destination. Just a reminder the car does not run and is not road worthy in its current condition. Thanks for looking and have a good day! Update 08-30-11: Added more photos for those who want to see what it looks like off of the jack stands with tires on........................ Update 08-31-11 I have not started the car since I bought it, I will try it this weekend, and take a little video of it, but I’m sure it should start. The car is as what is being advertised on the auction. The min price is 5000.00, the parts I bought will go with the car when sold. I’m not interested in parting it out. It’s being sold as a whole car. I’m not interested in trading for anything. The interior of the car is as expected with a car with 14,500 miles on it pretty much new, just little dusty because I was working on the q-panel with the door open. The carpet is not damaged; the leather seats are not damaged. The steering wheel air bag has been deployed and you will need another one or like most people they put a custom one on which in some cases eliminates the air bag all together. The side Curtin air bags or dash air bags were never deployed. To finish up the front end work you would be better to get a complete front end clip. Because you will need the little things like bolts clips wires, sensors, head lights, parking lights, supports. Everything you don’t see in the photos for the engine compartment that should be there pretty much means I don’t have it. Except for the AC/coil and radiator I do have them. This was a work in progress and I was going to buy the engine bay parts when I needed them. This is a project for someone who has the time, this is not something you can just hop in and drive. It will come with a salvaged title and returning it to original would be something for you to decide on but you would not get the return you invested to get it back original. I don’t have estimates, part prices, man hours, for someone to finish it. That is total up to you on what route you take. Most everything you need will be on eBay or local junk yard. It’s called a “Project car”, nothing more and nothing less....................
