Vehicle Detail
If you want an original unmolested 911, this is your car. Nice original 1969 Porsche 911 with a clear title. This car was one-family owned since the 70's and well taken care of. It was parked in a garage in 1994 and not used since then. The interior is in very nice original shape apart from one torn seam in the driver's seat, which can easily be repaired. The outside appears original, but I have not verified whether the paint is factory. There is a little bubbling where the front fenders meet the body, but overall it is in very nice shape for it's age. The motor is free, but I have not started it yet; I removed the fuel tank and carburetors and had them cleaned and rebuilt, and I can reinstall them or give them to you as-is, whichever you prefer. The car can be pushed, but either the brakes or bearings are dragging, so it takes a little muscle. Nobody has tried to restore it and mess it up, it is an honest car that was enjoyed and then parked for personal reasons. I was going to restore the car to new condition, but I just don't have the time anymore. Please feel free to e-mail me with any questions. Thank you. In case you're wondering why this is a relist; The first time around I had a buyer who didn't have the money to back up his offer. On Aug-24-11 at 12:25:08 PDT, seller added the following information:Important: I just went to the shop I sent the tank and carburetors to, and he has not yet started on the rebuild. Therefore, I will still give them to you rebuilt when he finishes them as mentioned in the ad,or you can have them original and untouched. I will accomodate the winning bidder's preference. On Aug-24-11 at 14:56:51 PDT, seller added the following information:I have been getting quite a few questions regarding rust; I will be putting up pictures of the wheel wells, engine bay and trunk in a day or two. They will show very little rust.On Aug-25-11 at 14:39:42 PDT, seller added the following information:As requested, I have added pictures of the wheel wells, trunk and engine bay, as well as the doors and dash.On Aug-28-11 at 08:12:12 PDT, seller added the following information:I have added a picture of the handwritten service history. It shows when fuel was bought and how much, and when any oil/filter/plug changes and other servicing was done.On Aug-28-11 at 13:30:13 PDT, seller added the following information:I have now uploaded the maximum amount of pictures, and I did another critical walkaround while I was taking them. It is a nice solid car, and I ran my fingers through the wheel arches and found no rust in them. Take a look at the pictures and decide for yourself, but you will not be disappointed. To answer another question; I will include new carb rebuild kits for free if you take them as-is, or take $150 off the purchase price for the winning bidder. If you stil need more pictures, please feel free to email me.
