Vehicle Detail

Check out this truck! If you like the Japanese pickups from the early 80's then you found a good one here. I have the original window sticker and it was $10,074 when new. It is a 1982 Datsun/Nissan DLX KINGCAB 4x4 PICKUP, with Medium Blue Metallic Paint and the Z22-260528 4 cylinder engine. Add on's included Air Conditoning and Sunroof. The truck runs good. Clutch is good. Brakes are good. Good heater. Amazingly the paint looks to be all original (including the body stickers) and it's not near as rusty as most around here. Mechanically the truck is good. The previous (around 80 years old farmer) owner said it doesn't use a drop of oil. He did NOT want to sell the truck, so I know it's a good one. Frame seems real solid also from front to back. The body is rusty in spots, and has rust through mostly on the driver rocker towards the back of the x-cab, and on the box on both sides here and there, certainly not all of it!, part of the bottom of the tailgate, etc. I had a lot of fun detailing this truck, and I used aluminum tape for the rust holes (and surfacee rust spots to to smooth it out- in other words where you see tape doesn't mean there is a hole behind it!) and matching spray over it. I also detailed the inside, and waxed the outside. In addition I black spray painted the fender flares (1 is missing) and the frame-bumper etc. When I got it, it was used strictly as a farm truck, so it did need this cleaning! I personally spent over 5 hours detailing this truck, because I enjoyed seeing the before and after!!! I also have all of the owners manuals as well as the original window sticker. The truck was VERY well maintained, and as I said there are really no issues that I found with the truck. I don't even think it leaks any oil, and it doesnt' smoke either (unless it did when started and i didn't see it). I drove it 40 miles and it drives just fine down the road. Tires are average (50%) and won't need any replacing anytime soon. 4WD works fine. It also has power steering and a factory sunroof!! OK- Here are the negatives- The truck was detailed with spray here and there and aluminum tape on rust holes (and on surface rust spots) so expect the tape to come off and do not expect anything but a great running Datsun that has body rust here and there, the parking brake does not work, the windshield is cracked but not thje point where I would ever fix it, the Air Conditioning does not blow cold - do not know why, and the bed area is dirty still (has plywood over the bed- I didn't detail it). That's it. It's a HECK OF A TRUCK and would make an EXCELLENT work truck, winter truck, or just a fun truck to work on. Again, I do believe that the frame is good all around and that if you did want to restore it, you have a great candidate. Good luck!! TERMS AND CONDITIONS I consider myself a nice, respectful, and friendly person, and I like dealing with people who are also nice, honest, and respectful. I am old school when it comes to business, and I do not have any tolerance for "entitled" or "me" or "arrogant" or best of all the "educated idiot". For the sake of making it very easy for everyone to understand, I have these TERMS AND CONDITIONS: 1. This is an auction. This is sold "As Is". No Warranty. No exceptions. You understand that there is no recourse for future repairs, or any consideration to be made for current problems/issues with car disclosed or not. By bidding on this auction, you agree to these terms with no questions asked, no exceptions, no matter the case. 2. Statements and description of the vehicle are made by the opinion of the seller. Your bid on this auction reflects your opinion of the vehicle, not mine. It is a given that every vehicle I sell will have some rust (either surface rust or otherwise on frame, body, or somewhere because even West Coast cars have rust too), scratches, dents, dings, smells, stains, etc that you get with any used car. It is a used car, so expect wear and tear on the car in all of these areas. Read the description and look at the pics, but remember, they don't capture every detail. 3. You understand that at time of pickup, there will not be a "test drive" period before payment or final payment. You may verify the vehicle and the VIN and the title to ensure it is the vehicle you purchased. Any "inspections" must take place before you win the vehicle, not after. 4. All are welcome to test drive, inspect, and look at the vehicle, and ask questions via email or phone call before you bid on the vehicle. 5. The sellers responsibility begins and ends with providing the vehicle shown and displayed in the auction with a legal and clear title for the vehicle. 6. The description is simply based on the opinion of the seller, and once again, all bids must be placed based on the bidders opinion of the vehicle. 7. The definition of "hold harmless" is in effect on all of my auctions. By bidding you forfeit any rights to legal action or threats of any sort. I will not deal and I refuse to deal with people who sue (I never have sued, or ever threatened to sue and have never been sued). Again, by bidding and/or winning this auction you understand that there is NO legal recourse available to you for any reason on this auction, other than the promise that I make in providing the make and model car with VIN (and clear and legal title) advertised in this auction. 8. Shipping is the buyers responsibility. Vehicle to be picked up within 2 weeks, but exceptions can be made. Just call me to let me know what is going on. We will do our best to work with your shipper. I also may be able to pick you up at the airport. Sioux City is very easy and Omaha is a more difficult. Either way, this is a case by case basis. Please call. 9. $500 Non-Refundable Deposit Due within 24 hours via Paypal or cash. Full amount of vehicle due within 7 days of auction end, or at vehicle pickup, whichever comes first. I will accept a cashiers check, money order, cash, or a wire transfer for the balance. No exceptions unless approved before you bid. Please call. 10. $119 Doc/Delivery/Prep Fee on Every Sale. On most vehicles, we spend an average of 4-8 hours on it either cleaning/detailing, and or appraising the car for the description. In addition, after the sale but before you get it, we spend a lot of time working with your shipper to ensure a smooth delivery. You are responsible for the tax title license and any fees your state requires. 20+ Years Experience Buying/Selling/Appraising Vehicles. I love this business and have always understood what makes a good car from a bad one, and literally look at between 1500-2000 cars per week in trying to find one's that are great buys, and still have good qualities. Most of them I buy based on the owner, not the car. If the owner is careless or if they are a jerk, I almost always pass. If they are friendly and seemed to have cared for the car, I'll buy it. By buying cars based on people- and not just the vehicle itself, I have honestly had tremendous success by avoiding major repairs, surprises, etc. Also- regardless of flaws, if a car has a good engine and transmission, they are usually good buys also. I tend to find cars that are excellent at the core, as I am not the type of dealer who buys them half running and poorly mechanical, patching it up to sell. I am the opposite, and you will not get that here. I'm like you, if I don't think it's a good runner, I pass!! You can count on my expertise in your vehicle!! Usually they are cars that I would personally like to own and would be happy to own. We take it very personal to do a great job in describing the item, the good, bad and ugly, and to treat you like we would want to be treated. We do promise to provide our best service and to do the best I can in providing the car you expect. I have sold many VW, Nissan, Jetta, Rabbit, Luv, Escort, and Golf and even Toyota diesels, and I can tell you that I know how to find a great car for the money 12 Years on Ebay!
